If we strike out on melo, why not go after LMA?

Because LMA is a worse version of Ryan Anderson thats why. Makes more money, is older, and is a diva who isn't happy if he isn't the focus of the offense. There's something wrong with you if yoi cause drama on the Spurs.

No. We still have until February to look for a better trade.

    No no no.

He picked Spurs over us 2 years ago.

Let him and Pops dine together till the end of his contract.

We would be helping both of them by taking him away from San Antonio.

If LMA didn't work out with the Spurs, he's not good for us either...too damn soft. We didn't go over the cap for LMA type player.

We have Chris Paul now but if we also missed out on him.......I'd rather us rebuild than take on LMA.

Because he looked marginally better than Anderson despite the Spurs running plays for him, and it would cost a lot more than Anderson to get him.

Melo can crush his own trade value, making him a cheaper option for roughly the same overall production.

He's a diva who wants his post touches while he is rapidly losing his athleticism. Sounds familiar? Not interested.

thats actually not a bad idea now that he'd be a 3rd option and is expiring. better defense and rebounding. barely makes a few more mil. ryan + future 2nd or one of our 2nds (not zhou) for lma.

He is a soft jump shooting big who can't shoot 3s or rebound gross.

Anderson is the ideal player to make space on the court.

most wont take him cuz he'd be a 1st or 2nd option on most teams. he'd be a 3rd here. maybe even 4th behind eg since we're a 3pt-heavy team. he wont hae a problem scoring. much better rebounding and defense, even better passing. plus he's expiring

ryan is a very good fit for the spurs with kawhi breaking out into a superstar. forget the spurs, he'd be perfect for the knicks. ryan and kp frontcourt, with 3 other starters who can shoot the 3. that offense would be deadly.
