    Isnt Charlotte supposed to have a new team next season?
    I bet an expansion team would take anyone that we would have to offer, if we are just looking to clear up some salary.

    Could be a good idea in some situations.

    It's 04/05, not 03/04. Trust me, they'd look to the NBDL before they looked at our guys.

    No that "aint" the truth. we came pretty close to making the playoffs. we aren't the Nuggets.

    There will be an expansion draft the offseason before the team begins play. I believe the rules of this expansion draft are teams can protect 8 players who have contracts and can only lose 1 player to the draft. Obviously from our team someone like Mooch is a PRIME candidate to be left unprotected. And depending on who we have on our roster at the time we might unprotect Mo Taylor.

    I think around the league most teams will leave unprotected old veteran players that don't have much left in the tank or horrible contract players.
    Good pickens for the Carolina team eh? :rolleyes:

    Yeah, those are the finalist for the name, but the team begins play in 04/05

    From the final three names article:
    "The team is to begin play in 2004-05, taking the place of the Hornets, who moved to New Orleans last year. "
