I want Mack Brown gone, everyone gone. This is ****ing ridiculous. This team's lack of discipline has been inexcusable, all season long. Against OU, down 14-3, OU had a 4th down with 30 seconds to go in the half, inside the 10. They didn't even have to go for it... our undisciplined players jumped offsides. Up 14-0 today, we had Tech on the ropes, and punting. First attempt? Illegal substitution for leisurely jogging off the field instead of running off. Five yards, but still fourth down. So Tech goes for it, but that's ok... they have no momentum, and we stop them. Except we jump offsides. For the most part, though, in the first half we did a good job defensively... until with a minute left, we decide to go straight to that prevent defense... bam, 62 yard touchdown, receiver wide open in the middle of the zone. We had been doing well at getting pressure on Kingsbury and playing man to man defense, but for some random reason it stops. Anyway, Tech scored a freaking touchdown in about 45 seconds, going 80 yards, with NO TIMEOUTS. We get the ball back, on our own 20, with THREE TIMEOUTS, and what do we do? Run it and go to halftime. If the Texas defense had any discipline at all, we're probably looking at a 35-0 game right now. Instead, it's all tied at 21. Maybe you can blame the mistakes in the OU game as being early in the season... but we're in late November. These players should have learned by now.
why is vasher still returning punts? we can't risk losing him to injury with TT's standard 4WR set. Pearson is one mean muthafu... That clothesline was crazy!
I have come to the conclusion that Texas is one point better than OU, after seeing the 2 Baylor scores.
I do. I mean, this team was on the verge of dominating TT... but it's just the little things, like the lack of discipline on defense, that hold us back. We are so close to being an elite, dominating team... but there are a couple of minor things holding us back, and they are the SAME things that held us back against OU this year, etc. I'm losing my confidence in Mack to fix it.
Cat, couldn't agree more about the discipline part. Tech getting a first down after a 4th and 10 is a joke. Ohio State is losing right now to Illinois. So , approapriately enough, Texas will find a way to blow this game. They don't know any other way. Excuse me as i prepare myself for heartbreak in about 2 hours.
did anyone else catch that student on the sideline after Williams' catch? he was wearing a Welker jersey and a UT hat. talk about confused.
I watch relatively little college football, and the same can be said about UT, but is Roy Williams the only player to make big plays for the team?
