If we get Rashard should we trade TMac?

Seems unlikely but in the event we do somehow land Rashard, should we consider trading TMac? They play the same position and are the same age and nearly identicle stat wise. TMac is clearly the more valuable player so in a trade he could bring back possibly the missing peices, PG-PF in a trade. Just curious to how people would react to such a scenerio.

No, because you won't get equal value in return.

no, because we are running in circles if we trade tmac right after we get lewis.

We want lewis to be a 3rd scorer (where he should be), not a 2nd scorer & play-maker

We should consider trading Tmac whether we get Lewis or not, if the deal is right.

If Utah will trade Deron Williams for him. Otherwise, not a chance.

Tmac has always played in the 2's in his Orlando days. Oh, and last year as well in case you haven't noticed.

no because we need a thrid scorer

not get a third scorer and trade one away. that would put us where we started except rashard is not as good as tmac

    3-1=2

TMac for the whole Western Conference All-Star Team would solve our problems too.

    And we'd get Mac back.

Its just not plausible. Almost as unlikely as even getting Lewis. But it is the offseason (for us anyways) and since we are bored lets have some fun.

McGrady for a sign and traded PJ Brown. He would have to be resigned at a ridiculously high 1yr contract but its the only way to make it work. Chicago would also include Duhon their 1st rounder and Thomas. Gordon is also probably pryable.

BTW: I in no way support shopping McGrady. I am just bored! College football cant get here soon enough.

Umm...no. They are not identical and such a move would be terrible for us...I want to go through and explain why, but I don't think it's really necessary b/c I think it's an obvious answer.

I guess I fail at seeing how 7.3 APG is identical to 2.4 APG.

Go back and read my original post.

All im saying is if TMac could bring us back 2 quality players while we replace most of his production with Lewis (minus4.9APG)
wouldnt that be worth trading him. Here maybe if I gave some examples.

    Bibby and SAR or say
    Peirce and Green or say
1 of Kirk Hinrich or Duhon and P.J. Brown and Gordon or say
Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince or say
Troy Murphy and Jamaal Tinsley or say
Pau Gasol and Rudy Gay and Damon Stoudamire or say
Peja Stojakovic and Tyson Chandler or say
Eddy Curry and Quentin Richardson or say
    Zach Randolph and Brandon Roy.

I am not saying I think we are going to do any of these deals or even should. My question from the get go was meant to be - Would we be better of with players we would be able to get for TMac because he is considered so "valuable" since we would be replacing most stats with Lewis. Does that make since or have I been at work too long?
