then why in the blue hell aren't we finding any time for him now?? surely he warrants at least 10mins per game so we know what sort of commodity we have. from what he's shown when we first brought him back, he can certainly help us in stretches. so why no PT for him now.
You realize that not everyone on your active roster gets to play, and especially not everyone gets to play a lot of minutes... Besides, Mike has actually been getting spot minutes in non-garbage time.
im wondering why, since we are supposedly keeping him on for next season, why he cant get a look-in now. he played well during some big minutes a few weeks ago - i expect he might get a good shot at it if Batman doesnt come up tomorow.
He will get minutes in our last 4 games since we have injury problems but in the playoffs we might only go 8-10 deep in our rotation. He's basically a player who will get minutes during the regular season when our team needs to spread out the minutes.
Harris has been getting some time as a swing man during the early 2nd quarter. He is still pretty raw, and thats why he hasnt been playing as much. He is similar now to Landry and Hayes, in that they provide energy and some rebounding, but are still undersized and not that great away from the basket on O. Landry has a midrange J, but its been pretty inconsistent.
don't take this personally aussie rocket...i enjoy your post and look forward to them. "so we know ... what we have" who? you,,,, us fans, Adelman? I really have a problem with that statement. imo, this is the crux of a lot of problems with the GARM. People yell at coach's for not showing them what they want to see, so feel empowered to say would happen "if"...yet, there's no scouting proof. I mean, if we got to watch all the Rockets practices, would we need to ask to see Harris play more than what he already receives. Wouldn't you be able to assess what you have with practice and inconsistent play time based on injuries and match-ups like Harris has received. Why would Adelman need to see more with 1 week left? We are trying to get the 2nd seed here. btw: this is coming from a big Harris fan. When it comes to PT of non-rotational players, I'm deferring to the coach, because he has the benefit of seeing practices.
i think im gonna cry. i say that with the same small level of sarcasm that you were using when making your statement.
cool yeah, i was pretty sure you're on my GARMers who aren't Girls list, but I couldn't find my xf.net scorebook.
I respect that philosophy, but let's face it, Adelman's rotations have been pretty mind-boggling. Francis doesn't even get his warm-ups off for the first couple of weeks, then he comes in and wins a big game for us in Phoenix. Dikembe had something like a combined fifteen minutes of PT before Yao wore his foot off and has since proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that he can still contribute.
If they're going to keep Woods, they really should give him more than 90 seconds against the Sonics. In case we do need him, I don't think he'll be ready to play.
I agree.I was hoping Woods would get some minutes now so management can decide whether he can be a backup for Deke in the playoffs.
He got 6 minutes with McGrady and Battier out. Who's minutes do you want him to take when they're healthy? Landry's? Hayes'? He got most of his minutes when Landry was out. That's what he's there for, to be a decent option when rotation players go down. That's why Deke was on the roster and that's why Harris is on the roster. If the rotation players are all healthy, you just have to sit and wait for garbage time or until somebody goes down. If you want to "get a look" at him, you don't do it now when you're getting your team ready for the playoffs.
Did they already sign woods for the rest of the season I haven't heard anything.I know his 2nd 10 day contract expired on the 10th.
I'm still happily waiting for the scolandriss lineup. Scola at centre, Landry at Pf and Harris at SF or SG since he has a pretty decent jumpshot. This lineup is perfect whiles T-mac rest. And next year if Harris is still here it'll be a small man, big power unit.
Harris just played a few minutes in the last game. I am a huge fan of Harris (he's part of the blue collar crew I love so much) but now with Landry healthy, there isn't as many minutes for him to get. I pretty much trust that he will get pt when Adelman can get him in.
Well in my opinion Battier should be rested now and Mike Harris should also see more minutes, Shane's minutes.
