Why would one's contribution to the site be predicated on the Rocket's winning? Doesn't the site still have the same expenses regardless? I base my contribution on the site's features and usefulness - which is extremely high in both cases.

Don't take this too seriously...of course what you said is true. Its just another way of contributing. Just putting a little fun into it, thats all.

    LOL! No serious-taking here :)

I think it's a fun idea to do things like pledging money based on our team's success.

However, I'm just pointing out that people should consider contributing regardless of the outcome so as to keep this great site operating.

    $20, $25.

hell if we can get past 88 points again with a victory, I'd almost donate that much.

I think the rule of thumb is that everyone does what they can. Therefore, as a fellow CC'er, I for one appreciate your efforts. I know I won't be able to donate as much this year as I did last, but it all adds up.

I think a cool way wold be to donate $1 per point advantage at the end of the series, win or lose.

So right now the pot would be at..

    Game 1: 98-86 = $12
    Game 2: 113-111 = $2
    Game 3: 106-102 = -$4
    Game 4: 97-93 = -$4

    $14 - $8 = $6 would be to the tip jar

It kind of supports logic as well.. after a loss I'm not really on the board and I dont see as much quality or thought out post as much as after a win.

I'll donate 1000 to anyone who b**** slaps David Stern. I bet we can get that tip jar all the way up to a million if we went around the league.

I said a while ago that I'd donate $10 if we made the playoffs, plus an additional $20, $30, $40, etc. for each round advanced:

So...if we win it all this year, I'll owe Clutch $150.

Holy crap, Looks like I won't be eating for a while if that happens. But, I won't go back on my pledge.
