maybe the rockets would be alot better if we traded mobley and another player and a pick for the like of a rashard lewis or another small forward star.

The only guy on that list that I would consider trading him for is Lewis. Peterson, Van Horn, and Richarson? They aren't even close to Cat. We don't even need to make any trades. We are playing fine.

No one on your list is of equal value to Cat. As a matter allow me to be the first to stink up this thread by introducing the dreaded FART!

All of those guys that are listed are 3s. Thats the last thing we need with Rice, Hawkins, Thomas, Nachbar and Morris on board.

If you trade Mobes, you have to get a 2 in return, unless you want Moochie starting on a permanent basis. Maybe like a Ray Allen, Q Richardson, Allan Houston or even an Eddie Jones.

    The question asks,

"If you HAD to trade cuttino"

Then, one of the responses is that you would keep him.

    Doesnt make sense.

Cuttino is putting up better numbers than all of those guys. I wouldn't trade Cuttino Mobley straight up for Rashard Lewis, much less give up another player and a pick. We're 2 and 1 and all you can think about is how we need a trade? Mobley is part of the tandum that scores half of our points. I ought to trade you.

    (first time I'm saying this)
Damn newbies! Both Yao1134 and The Next Big Thing.

We don't need a trade. Mobley is playing good. The Rockets are set at every posistion. We don't need any trades.

Trading Cat would be r****ded, because Steve and him are best friends. The guys on that list aren't as good as Cat. So we would end up trading Cat, pissing off Steve, and getting a player that isn't as good as the guy that we traded.

What? That is nuts. He shoots too much, but trading him for Van Horn type players is nuts.

Beans, beans, the musical fruit, the more you eat, the more you....

    TOOOOOOTTTT!!!!!!

You guys don't get it, do you? Cuttino is the best non-rookie contract that we have on the team! He is quick, works hard on defense, and makes very difficult shots at a 50% clip. Did I mention that he has a VERY reasonable contract?

I say keep him and teach him to make easy shots at 55%.

This msg is actually for those newbies who like to open their threads or post too often with too little info, including Yao1134. I am a newbie to this BBS. I urge all of you to refrain from diluting this BBS too much with careless threads. Let me tell you why.

I make a living on making things that make the Internet work. I can't remember how many popular BBSs have been diluted by the similar behaviors to a point where many good veteran posters either go lurking or quit outright. Just another example of the famed 20/80 rule. Unfortunately, this democratic dilution of quality of the BBSs often make many people, including this one, lose interest too often too early.

This thread is such a typical example. I am extremely surprised that it spans more than one page. This thread simply doesn't make sense. I don't want this BBS to go down that path. So please.

I guess that worries me most! When two best friends or buddies on the same team with an intention to win which makes them both harmless in a way but when Francis and Cutino gunning that ball half the time the rest of the players had made, I really think there is something that must be done inorder to win more games. What I meant with that is team effort and not just two of your best player taking the team on their own.

Wise words of advice...but that would assume that newbies read topics before they post. ;)

Guttersnipe hit the nail on the head. Cuttino is our best bargain basement player. Any casual to diehard Rockets fan knows that. And bandwagoners should know it as soon as possible...

I personally want to F.A.R.T. all over Gary Payton. It would take Cuttino, KT and someone else probably and no idea how to work the salaries but here's to wishful thinking...

i think the problem with all those guys you listed is that none of them are good passers. we would need someone who is a good passing 2 guard.

actually i think a good guy to trade for would be brevin knight even though i wouldnt trade cat for him. i would trade mooch and his contract for knight. he puts up great assist numbers in the minutes he gets and he would be a nice backup pg to have
