If the Rockets lose Thursday, will anyone else be joining me in hoping the Cavs win it all? I really hate both LA and Boston, and Cleveland is winning like they're supposed to.

I'm rooting for the Nuggs if the Rockets don't pull it out.

I would love it if the Nuggets and Cavs made it to the Finals. That would really be a win-win for me since I really like Chauncey Billups and LeBron.

The Cavs are only winning because the NBA and David Stern wants Lebron to be in the finals.

From a historical standpoint, is Kobe-Lebron the most highly anticipated matchup since Michael and Magic met up in '91?

The only other two instances of tier 1 legends meeting in the Finals over the last 20 years that come to mind are Hakeem-Shaq and Barkley-Jordan. Hakeem and Shaq are both top 5 centers all-time, but noone really cared as Dream never got much media respect during his day. Barkley is my 2nd greatest pf of all-time but he was clearly inferior to Jordan, plus they didn't play the same position.

I'm glad the NBA Finals are the NBA Finals again after a decade of Nets-Spurs. And of course, here's to Lebron getting his first ring.

    Yes.

I will add that I am becoming a bit of a Lebron fan. I feel like I've always given him his due but I never really liked him much but not anymore. He's too good, works too hard, has too much fun on the court and from all accounts is too great a team mate for me to dislike.

If the Rockets can't pull it off I think the Fakers/Thuggets series could be good. The Thuggets don't have the self-control of our players so when things get chippy I fully expect things to get ghetto. :D

    I can't wait!!!

Assuming no heroics from the Rockets, Cavs will win it. (in my opinion)

But, I don't want any of the other teams in the playoffs to win. Maybe Boston, just as a dagger to KG. Then again, if they win... Simmons won't stop talking about them for several months, so scratch that. Wait, win or lose he'll talk about them. So, yeah... Boston for the middle fingers to KG and Posey.

LeBron is a good family man. He always goes home to play with baby James after his games.

LeBron is a good role model, like Yao.

I'll probably be rooting for the Cavs because I want to see LeBron top Jordan. I want Kobe to win without Shaq, but I'm starting to hate the guy just as much as I hate Shaq. I wouldn't mind Denver, because Billups has been great, and it would be a double whammy to Joe Dumars who traded Billups and passed up on Anthony in the draft(Not to mention it would make my opinion to pick Anthony number one in front of LeBron a little better.) Then again I like the Celtics just because they can do it without whiny KG, and the ultimate name in losing, Starbury, would have a ring. It would be hilarious. I can see positives in all teams except the Mavs and Magic. The Mavs can go to hell.

    1. Rockets
    2. Cavs
    3. Nuggets
    4. Celtics
    5. Lakers
    6. Magic(I'll be damned if Rafer is the starting PG for a championship team)

I won't even list the Mavs because me and the NBA are done if that happens.

I wouldn't mind the Cavs winning it all.. but if somehow Boston could get to the Finals, I'll definitely be going for Boston.

Anybody going to just quit watching if the Rockets are sent packing?

No... I'd like to see every part of the Rockets until that buzzer sounds. I think about how much I miss watching the NBA and the Rockets over the summer, it kills me. Gotta watch them, even if it's a blowout, I don't think there will be any kind of a blowout thrown at them though. We'll win. :)

    :D :D :D

SERIOUSLY hoping you guys can pull it out. I like the Rockets, I like you guys, and while I wouldn't be on this board during the series, I'd thoroughly enjoy it and be ok with any outcome. I can't stand the Lakers.

    GO ROCKETS!

Honestly, the NBA will be dead to me till the Rockets season begins in the fall.
