can they knock off the #1 team or #2 team in the west? I think with Dream supposedly coming back the Rockets are as good as anybody in the west and they just proved that by beating San Antonio without Dream. Against Sucramento Vlade killed Cato and I have to believe that it would've been a different story with Dream. I think the Rocks have a chance to advance to atleast the second round and possibly further if they make it. Here's a prediction, the Rocks will be tied with Minnesota on April 17th and Dream will carry us past Minnesota in one of his greatest pressure performances ever. ------------------

I've talked about this in other threads, but I'll go ahead and re-state it anyway. If the Rockets get into the playoffs, I like our chances against the 4 teams that could be our opponent in the first round: San Antonio: We proved last week that we could beat them, and now with Dream in the lineup again it will be even more possible...especially if Cato would play like he did vs Duncan in the win. Sacramento: IMO, this would be the toughest team for us in the 1st round. But, hopefully if we met up with them their would be a litte extra fire since they swept us this year and we were robbed in the last game. Utah: I think this would present the best possibility for an upset. We have a lot of history with the Jazz, that alone should make it an interesting series. We are also much quicker, younger, and more athletic than them. I think we match up very well with Utah, mainly b/c they do not have a great SF/SG to deal with. LA Lakers: It is unlikely they will end up with the 1st seed...but even if they did I think we matchup well with them also. Shaq presents a problem as he does with anyone else, but maybe Dream and Cato could limit him. ---- I think the Rockets could very well push any of these teams to 5 games, and you never know what will happen in a Game 5 must-win situation. But before any of this can happen, the Rockets have to get there first. Oops...forgot about Marshall...I was thinking of Russell. Marshall has been torching a lot of teams lately anyway, not just us. I still think Utah would be the best chance for an upset. ------------------
