Heh, okay, I'm bored, and I've been in the computer lab all day... and probably some of you could answer this better than me... but here are my thoughts...

Hakeem Olajuwon: C - Very powerful in it's day, but has now been replaced by C++

Steve Francis: C++ - Not perfect by any means, but surely the most useful and generally accepted language

Mo Taylor: Cold Fusion - Not a programming language per se, but very useful. If you can do the web and program, you're set

Cuttino Mobley: Java - Like C++ in a lot of ways, powerful in it's own way, easy to use and understand, memory hog

Kelvin Cato: Visual Basic - It has a cult following, but most people think it sucks

Walt Williams: Delphi - Well some people use it... it's kind of useful in it's own way, but if you had the choice, you'd probably pick another language

Dan Langhi: Perl - An evolution in programming to suit a changing world, look for this one continue to grow over the next few years

Moochie Norris: Python - A no-name language that is basically in incarnation of Java

Jason Collier: Rexx - In theory it has uses, but I personally don't know anyone that uses it...

Kenny Thomas: Scheme - An abstract language that can do a little bit of everything... kind of...

Matt Bullard: Cobol - A dinosaur language that for some reason won't go away. But does exactly what it's told, so why argue?

My eyes hurt now and I still have 5 more hours in the lab... [IMG]

Well other than Hakeem, we don't really have any very very old players on the team... And Fortran is crap... [IMG]

Charles Jones - Abacus (I know it's not a programming language, but he probably used one in first grade)

    ......

Cuttino Mobley as a Java, memory hog is hysterical.

Okay, Shandon Anderson gets to be JavaScript. (in keeping with the theme that guards are actually useful and similiar languages) JavaScript is the event driven incarnation of Java, and extremely useful.

*cough* JavaScript and Java are totally unrelated other than they're both based loosely on C *cough*

    *ahem*

But Shandon as JavaScript is one hell of a good comparison.
