Simple Question. What if any options does he have. It seems to me unfair to not even suit up a player who is healthy. It also seems illegal if they are going to collect insurance money. I have a lot of respect for Adelman and Morey but this seems to be getting ridiculous. Like someone else said in another thread, this is a player's league, and other players are watching.

I hate to start another thread but I really haven't seen anyone discuss what T-Mac's options are.

If you're employer pays you to do nothing what are your options:
    quit or do nothing.

Tmac is stuck unless he offers a buyout or something.

This seems moot seeing as how the latest reports seem like Mac and the Rox are on good terms...

I doubt it. If you could do that then I'd hate to see how many complaints Cook has filed.

yeah, I guess if you could file a complaint, all borderline players who never play would file them

I don't think there is anything he can do, I mean normally he could file a grievance if they were denying him access to facilities or some such but the Rockets are simply not activating him, that is their perogative.

I think Tmac is stuck....but hey $23 million to ride the pine.....if he humbles himself and gets with the team program, I seriously think the Rockets would play him some....

I mean there are injuries and lots of things can happen in a season....he just needs to be patient, and.....QUIET !!!!

Only if you believe's McGrady word from a month ago. Even McGrady doesn't believe himself from a month ago... he recently agreed he isn't ready.

adelman has said he's "medically ready to go." tmac IS healthy.

the only logical reason that he still hasn't played is b/c adelman and morey want tracy to be at his best when he does return, rather than having to work himself back into the player he can be. the team will try to use all the practice time possible, get tracy at the best they can get him in practice, then they'll play him.

the moment he steps out, after just 1-2 games, he looks great. other teams will see that and think he's back. and maybe they'll bite.

Please provide me with the legal definition of "borderline player" since you appear to believe some players have a legal right to play while others do not based on talent level.

Cook is at least activated. Mcgrady is in street clothes on the bench. I think he will be back in two weeks around the new year holiday. As far as filing a complaint, I dont think he has any options considering he is still getting paid..

so he's healthy. he's been practicing. taking adelman at his words, he wants tmac to keep improving to become the player that can elevate this team to new levels (obviously to help in a trade situation).

His options are to keep busting his behind in practice, keep improving his fitness level/stamina and keep REBUILDING the bridges that may have been singed in the past with his teammates.ie rebuild the team chemistry again. When he and the team can run together he'll be back.

This is what I hope will happen. If not we will have to let Morey and Rick decide his other options.

As far as if he'd WIN in a complaint case in front of a moderator, all the previous things he's selfishly done against the organization can be used against him. I'm sure the front office has a nice log of McGrady infractions they wouldnt mind using if it came down to that.

Charles Barkley straight didnt get paid what he was owed from the Rockets and didnt file a complaint.

seconded. I would like Tmac to get PT but the fact is he has no say in the matter. Nor should he, the rockets are paying his salary in full. If they want him to collect splinters on the bench then its their prerogative. Unless he renounces his salary in full and signs with another team, Tmac has no right to demand PT. He can ask really really nicely though :p
