We will have a chance at the playoffs imho. And it isn't that hard to win these 3 games-- the Rockets do look to have their fire back after last night. We already beat the Knicks in the Garden-- we just need to get our defensive game faces on and play them tough. Philly has a great record, but they are not invincible. We took them down to the final seconds about a week ago here in Houston. They've also lost to Toronto and Orlando both in Philadelphia in the last two weeks. Detroit on Thursday is a below .500 team in the East. By no means am I saying we'll win all these games, but I am saying that if we have our fire back we definitely can head into the All-Star break at 25-25. Then, take a look at our upcoming schedule for the rest of February:

    Tue 13 Washington
    Fri 16 @ Orlando
    Sat 17 Cleveland
    Tue 20 Boston
    Wed 21 @ Minnesota
    Fri 23 Orlando
    Mon 26 Portland
    Wed 28 @ Chicago

If we do not have major injuries or letdowns in terms of a lack of effort, we should beat Washington, Orlando, Cleveland, Boston, Orlando, and Chicago-- esp. considering many are at home. We could even beat Minnesota or Portland, but for the sake of this let's assume they don't. If you take care of business the rest of this month and win these last 3 before the break-- something that is very attainable-- you can end the month with a record of 31-27 with 24 games left. If you can get to that record, and have an easier schedule like the Rockets have-- it is possible that we can get to the 45 and slightly above win range we need to make the playoffs. Do not give up hope. The Rockets look to have their fire back after last night, and let's just concentrate on winning these last 3 before the break. If we can do that, we are still very much in this thing.

I've said all along that if the Rockets were to play with the defensive fire they played with last night in EVERY game, they would make the playoffs easily.

    Snowman,

Hahaha. Yeah, I do know we are over .500 on the road and under .500 at home. But I think it's just more the inconsistent play of our team, and just coincidentally we've been a little more inconsistent at home. What I'm saying is that even with the stat about road/home record, if you had one game to decide your season, you'd still want it at home, no matter what the record may be.
