He has got to make Alpi Sengun the fulcrum of the offense. He should be the Hub, and primary initiator. But when Alpi is doubled or fronted, this is when you want KPJ and his ability to beat people off the dribble.

So for me, a one two punch of Alpi and KPJ is the key to Silas keeping his job.

It is no coincidence that the Rockets 7 game win streak last year corresponded to Jalen Green being out, he literally is putrid on defense and is inefficient on offense. His BBall IQ is not very high, he needs a ton of coaching, and learning before being an effective NBA winning player.

I would move him to the bench to balance the starting lineup until EGo is traded then move Green back - let him cook against the backups on other teams until he finds his confidence and learns where to be on defense.

Right now we start 3 Shooting/Combo guards, and we really should only be starting 2.

KPJ is better than Green so he starts, IMHO.

If Silas wants to keep his job.

1,2 punch in KPJ and Sengun and bench Green for the time being.

IMO he's already lost his job, bringing Green off the bench and looking to develop a 1-2 punch of Sengun and KPJ would be the best plan for the team, but Silas still gets fired after the season.

    He's a dead man walking.

I guess his career his pretty much done.

There are not many teams in the need of a below average former assistant.

He could go back to being an assistant.

He is good at networking with NBA personnel, that will keep his hopes alive.

Save the job for months but wouldn't save his 'career'.

That's all I've been wanting for 1 year and a half. You can play both styles off each other. It would really take determination and having an open mind from our coach.
Players need to learn from Kevin Martin and cut.

No way for him. His contract finishes at the end of this season. Other season is optional. Mostly he has 4 months... But I think he will be fired on all star week, and we continue with one of our asistant coach until the season finish.

Some folks are saying if we lose to Charlotte at home he is out.

Have y’all had this new sauce called “sriracha”? Silas needs to slather sriracha on Sengun and Green. In that order, in order to beat Charlotte.

…hopefully we won’t be wearing baby blue that game.

They’re the only team as bad as we are. A victory over the Hornets means nothing. Win or lose, if we haven’t already decided to move on from Silas something is horribly wrong with the organization.

DD, we're apparently watching two different teams. I think having KPJ come off the bench (or playing for a different team) is what this team needs. How we've been playing since his unfortunate injury has been refreshing to watch, in my opinion. Yes, we've continued to lose, and I think losing is what Stone wants, but it's no coincidence that Sengun exploding for a career defining game against the Lakers came without KPJ. Again, in my opinion.

After watching the ball movement without KPJ the take away is 1/2 punch with KPJ?

    Sengun: Career high, without KPJ

Jabari Smith: Career high, without KPJ

SOLUTION: build around KPJ and Sengun

I think it is much more a question of how we lose. If we lose by 15 or 20 and seem as though we were always out of it--like the Mavericks or Kings games--he's out or should resign.

No thanks, I rather see what a 1-2 punch with Sengun and Green look like or even with Sengun and TyTy before KPJ. I have seen enough of the low IQ playmaking from KPJ to last me for a lifetime.

that’s the point. KPJ wouldn’t be the playmaker with Sengun on the floor. He’d do what’s good at. Catching and shooting the ball. Green is atrocious at that

My understanding is that DD is advocating for KPJ to be the secondary playmaker in the starting lineup and moving Green to the bench? That would be the last thing I want to see personally. I am absolutely done with watching KPJ pretend to playmaker. He is a tertiary playmaker at best.

Just like last season......after the All Star Break:

    1) Stagger KPj and Green minutes much like D'Antoni did with Harden-CP3 and Harden-Westbrook. John Lucas did that in game
Silas missed due to father passing.

    2) play Tari and Jabari together more often.
Again Lucas did that in game Silas missed due
    to father passing.

    3) no more Eric Gordon being pushed for trades.
    Starter no more.

    4) stress player movement along the perimeter.
Often making it too easy for one defender to
    guard two shooters. SPACING

    5) Emphasis on cutting and slashing as Kenyon does. Green-KPj-Bari-Tari-Tate grab a shovel and pitch in. Use indicator to let teammate know.

    6) Defense (transition, interior, perimeter)
