Would Rafer still be a Rocket if he shot 42% or higher?

  1. Yes, without a doubt - only reason for trade

  2. No, still too many holes and better options (Lowry/Brooks)

I guarantee you that if Rafer shot 42% or higher, he would have still been a Rocket today, no doubt about it. We all agree on his strength and weaknesses, however, his shooting sent him packing. 3 pointers that miss the whole rim and would have went straight to hell if the floor wasn't there. UGLY to the bone floaters that would start fast breaks for the other teams.

I think the Rocket management felt it was time to get 2 for the price of one. Lowry's defense is incredible and will be needed against the Billups, Parker, Fisher, Nash... etc... Also, please check out Lowry and how he finishes around the rim.

If Rafer's shooting percentage was the reason he was traded....isn't it ironic he was traded for a guy who shoots even WORSE than Rafer!!!

If he were adept at simply making layups and not looking so discombobulated he would still be here. We all know that isn't the case. That's why he's not here anymore.

Shooting is not the problem of Rafer.

When Rafer shot better than 50%, our record is 4:3
when Rafer shot at lower percentage (<=20%), we are winning more games. (8:2)
when Rafer was not playing at all, our record is 5:1.

Why settle at 42% when most other PGs are shooting better than 44%?
