Mark Stein is apparently reporting Lakers interest in Rick Adelman. Let's assume that it is true and that RA lands (on his feet) in LA. Who from Rox would he try to bring over? BTW - - I don't see any 'obvious' trading pieces yet I assume he would want one or more from this Rox roster. For example, I can't see Kupchak going Gasol for Scola/Miller. So, who would RA push for and who could Rox take back?
After suffering the last two years without a true big man, I doubt Rick will be very anxious to trade either Bynum or Gasol.
Well, I think it's no secret Adelman has a special place in his heart for Brad Miller. Brad Miller for Vujacic TPE & a 2nd rounder. Get it done Morey.
Considering they're already much better then the Rockets, not sure why they would want to give up any of their pieces for one of our guys, especially considering they will probably go after Howard and need the bullets to pull off the deal. Playing along, I agree, Lowry would be a target of theirs followed by Martin. We would obivously look at Bynum or Gasol while drafting a PG like Shelby to take Kyle's spot.
They need a point guard most but no way can they get Lowry. I do know Dragić is an underrated player who impressed Adelman by end of his stay. I can see Luke Walton for Dragić trade. Rockets get SF, Lakers get fast young defensive PG. Since Rockets fans seem to think Rockets will be drafting another PG, I think this is win win for both teams.
I do not see how getting for getting Walton is a win.... specially when we are giving them a player as well
Trade? Hll he might convince Chuck Hayes to sign there outright. Especially if he can convince Chuck that Morey doesn't appreciate him the way RA does. When he tell Chuck that Jordan Hill will get more money and more minutes no matter how badly he outplays him. I'm sure that would be appealing. Everyone wanted to tank. Here we go!
Chuck Hayes, his unrestricted and know's Adelman's offense to a ''T''. Plus Morey didn't sound like he was very interested in resigning him, from past interviews.
Morey stopped building this team for Adelman some time ago. Miller was just a peace offering. I don't expect him to covet any of our guys.
Me either, I figured the Lakers would target him already, probably pick him up for less than he would have gotten after his down year, and AB would fit in perfectly on that team. DD
If Rick winds up in La La Land, Wagon will be in Purple & Gold come next season. Kupchak's next step, prying Superman from the Magic (he'll put the heat on ORL a la Melo, and Otis Smith will be forced to take what he can get... obviously starts with Andrew Bynum). Imagine a terror-inducing frontline of Dwight Howard & Chuck Hayes... GAME OVER. Come the summer of '12, CP3 walks away from NOLA and joins the Lake Show (takes a pay-cut, of course) -- opening night '12-'13 season, RA's starting 5: CP3 Kobe Odom Gasol Howard Bench: Hayes, Barnes, possibly an aging, title-hungry Ray Allen willing to suit up for Finals favorites for cheap
