When can the Rockets start training camp? Do we have any players involved in bad contracts overseas? Do you feel whole again?
Hunter and Stern both said December 9th is the tentative start date of training camp and free agency, however they are surely trying to get the litigation finished beforehand to start sooner if possible. Also, teams like the Knicks have already scheduled player run training camps starting as early as next week. The Rockets, from what we can read from Twitter, have already started traveling back to Houston to get back together with teamates. The organization, coaches, and front office staff cannot directly contact players before the litigation and votes are cast which could go right down to the wire of the December 9th start date. However, player agents can contact team officials. Even though team officials cannot directly communicate with the players, its very likely that the players have a good idea what they are supposed to be doing and where at during this prep time before camp opens on the 9th of December.
