    First off,
    I’ll be honest.

I believe Jordan is the GOAT due to the overall package of impact, stats, legacy, pioneer for some things etc. but for people that think LeBron, Wilt, Kareem, Bill Russell or anyone else I got no argument.

This isn’t a Jordan vs. LeBron thread (I got no beef or hate with LeBron)
although I fear it will turn into that.
Whatever side you lie on is fine
NOONE is changing their mind given the current situation

My point is that like Brady, LeBron has properly managed his health to basically run up his numbers and stats to cement his records.
    As he should!

But unlike Brady, he didn’t put up an upper echelon historic amount of championship wins.

So it’s interesting in the sense of because to general consensus or people like me, the Dallas Finals Meltdown and some other decisions pretty much made it impossible for him to surpass MJ no matter what stats he put up.
GOAT discussions should come down to splitting hairs.

With that said, I don’t fault him or hold it against him for the spurs finals sweep or going against the Warriors with virtually no help. So that puts him in the Magic, Bird, Kareem area but even then he didn’t win as many rings as them.

The point I’m getting at is while running up his stats to almost unreachable levels is cool, at some point I think it ironically hurts him. Because take for instance now, the league doesn’t have a super team and any team with a solid GM can be in a legitimate ring hunt,
and While Bron lost a step, he’s still a good player, so he can’t use the excuse he’s going against the Warriors or Spurs anymore, so every season they fall short or he loses in 1st rd or miss playoffs kind of cancels out any new “stat “ he bypasses or cements.

my question is if let’s say 1-3 seasons ago or even if by some miracle he could win 2 more rings before he retires, does it change the narrative to the AVERAGE person , not the LeBron haters or the LeBron super fans obviously

Because then he would have the stats & records and the championship wins like Brady.

I think previously it would have changed & improved his legacy
But now I say no, because I don’t see a way he can win 1 more championship, let alone 2+ rings and it’s sad to not see a LeBron team as a legit contender.

And even if by some miracle, he did then he wouldn’t be the sole primary reason (it would be Luka) and even then by no reason or blame to him (atleast as far as we know) it would be questionable given how Lakers obtained Luka similar to the “Bubble ring” which i honestly forget is a thing some people hold against him too.

Basically now he’s a victim to his longevity.

More rings always improves your legacy. He stands at 4 which is a great number. His true legacy is his longevity and durability, dude is one of the rare few to barely ever be hurt and who still plays at a high level 20-something years into an NBA career, that's just crazy. That's why he already has so many records.

Seriously, look at this list. He is top 10 in all of them but 2, both free throw and three point percentages. He has top spot in several of them as well. You can only achieve that by playing for as long as he has.

PS: I always laugh at the turnovers. I never understood why people ragged on Harden's high turnovers, all dominant ball handlers end up with a high level of turnovers.

If Lebron had more rings he would be the undisputed goat since most people look at MJ's 2 3 peats.

However the eras Lebron and MJ are also vastly different Lebron played in the era of super teams and the talent level of the NBA reaching unprecedented highs. Its so much harder to win a ring now. I mean look at Jokic being far and away the most dominant player in the league for the last 7 yrs but only getting to the Finals once. In previous cases these guys reach finals at least. One guy cant warp the league by himself anymore.
