My question is... why do most people have us narrowed down to play either the jazz or lakers? The suns could easily overtake the lakers and get 3rd, we get 6th and we play the Suns.

I think it is going to be Suns 3 vs. Rockets 6 in the first round and I really really hope that doesn't happen.

If we do play the Jazz, I feel better because thats one of the teams that we may actually match up better without Yao. Boozer was too quick/powerful for Yao last year.

Jazz, Spurs, Suns Mavs will sweep us.

we can get 1 or 2 wins vs. Hornets, Lakers, Denver or GS.

What a fitting screen name you have

So I guess those 50+ wins are just a fluke, right?

No team in the west is good enough to sweep us...not with the way we play defense and hustle.

I think we can beat Utah, GS, Denver, maybe Dallas.

I think LA, San Antonio, New Orleans and Phoenix can beat us in 7, but I think we win at least two against any of them

I'll say we advance if we have home court. I don't think we can pull it off if we have 4 games in Utah.

Believe it, baby. That team has gotten a little squishier since last year, and we have gotten tougher, and toughness was the main obstacle last year, IMO.

^^^ To add to that, I think if we have HCA, we can beat anyone but the Lakers... Not saying we would, but we have a good shot. I would consider us the favorites against Utah or NO, though.

I belive yes and I'm saying YES they will.

A lot of things have changed since last year. Of course we don't have Yao but that doesn't mean we doesn't have any chances. Of course it is gonna be tough but we CAN win.

boozer is too big and strong for us. but...when yao was out there it was a bad matchup with okur cuz he was just hitting his shots. with hayes on him it shouldnt be to easy for him to hit shots.

they lost a LOT when they let go of fisher, that was their leader, i dont know that they would have won the last series without them or if they are mentally strong for a 7 game series.

the rockets are all about the mental game, ex. being the 22 game win streak

    I voted NO b/c:

base on the last few playoff, negative things tend to happen when we think positively, and vice versa.....(after the 2nd lose to the rox last playoff, jazz fan was like giving up already, and they end up going to the WCF  )

and hopefully no more "guarantee" or "its on me" stuff.

I won't lie, a lot of things scare me. I know that we can beat anyone in the playoffs (maybe save Phoenix and their two man beasts), but:

-I haven't seen us play anything like how we did during the middle of the 22-streak.

-I don't have much faith in our avoiding "flat tire" games

-I fear the Korver-Harpring combo. I think we can reasonably handle their frontcourt (better in fact, without Yao), but their ability to put 4 to 5 deadly shooters on the court at any time frightens me. Where we can't afford a no-show from McGrady, they can win despite any one individual having an off-night.

I know we have it in us, I want to see it happen. But there needs to be a fire and determination within every single member of the team that isn't always there from night to night.

the Jazz have been arguably the best team in the WC this year. check their efficiency ratings, their point differential, and their record against all the other WC playoff teams.

the Jazz are a lot better than they get credit for.
