Easy way to mess with the MLBPA: Offer a new one-time take-it-or-leave-it proposal that simply says if the union agrees to our original revenue sharing / luxury tax numbers, we'll raise the minimum wage from the current $200,000 (negotiated to $300,000 already) to $500,000. A majority of the players make minimum wage and could care less about the top-level pay. What would the union do? Reject this and hurt the majority of their membership? Or accept it and be done?
I say lock 'em out and play the scabs. It's time to draw the line. I'll still root for the Astros no matter who plays for them.
