Raptors. This, to me, is the only way to get out of the rut. The Raptors are the only team that has 2 top point guards on their team and also some young players that are quickly maturing. They also would benefit from this trade because it would give them a BIG three. This is a serious trade. Change in Team Outlook: -4.9 ppg, +5.8 rpg, and +2.3 apg. Incoming Players Jose Calderon 6-3 PG from Spain (Foreign) 8.1 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 6.1 apg in 18.8 minutes Andrea Bargnani 7-0 PF from Italy (Foreign) 10.8 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 0.7 apg in 21.9 minutes Rasho Nesterovic 7-0 C from Slovenia (Foreign) 3.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 0.6 apg in 13.5 minutes Outgoing Players Tracy McGrady 6-8 SG / SF from Mount Zion Christian Academy (HS) 26.8 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 5.1 apg in 35.8 minutes
How many of these pathetic threads we need ? Trade TMAC.....Trade Big Yao........... Trade somebody's @r$e Sometimes this forum makes me wonder why I need to spend so much time here. IBTL !!
How is trading T-Mac going to get us out of the "rut". The reason there is a "rut" is becuase T-Mac's not playing. BTW, amazing trade.
Are u freaking serious? What the hell are u smoking? Get that freaking dumb trade proposal out of here. It is not even worth looking at.
Lock this dumb ass thread up already. One of the stupidest Thread ever made. This guy gotta be kidding me.
I don't see what the problem is. I am sure you are going to go along way with the rafer alston, Mike James trade. You are getting 2 up and coming players, plus 8 million in cap space next year for tmac. What's not to like? I really don't see it????
I think its a joke. If its a joke upgrade him to Super Member. Great way to poke fun at all the similar threads. I enjoyed it.
Who gives a rat's ass if they are up and coming players. They are not guys who we can throw them the ball during the clutch and dominate ball games. All those 3 guys are freaking international scrubs and no way near T-mac's level.
Uh, no thanks man. That's the big trade? To get us out of the supposed 'rut'? I'm sure Calderon light it up when he gets here, he's obviously a superstar.
U have me scratching my head. It is called building a team. You guys have 2 players. Pretty simple to see that. This trade would start to build that team. Will these players every reach tmacs level. Probably not. Will they help u win a championship? IMO, yes. You got to raise the level of talent on the team. That is a given and you aren't going to do it with rafter alson and mike james.
IBTL. This thread had to be the biggest joke I've seen. How would you trade the heart and soul of the team for some mediocre players?
Question: are the rockets a championship team? I mean be real. If they are not, then what do they need and how are they supposed to get it? Please don't say mike james for steve blake or something like that. I mean how are they really going to raise the talent level of the team.
If I were Clutch, I would lock up any poster for a week that started a trade proposal thread for Tmac or Yao.
I just wonder why would a GM want to trade for T-Mac at all when you consider his history of back problems. I feel that any team who acquires T-Mac in a trade would be said to be taking a chance on him as to how well his back will hold up NO MATTER HOW MUCH THE TEAM GIVES UP FOR HIM.
Question: Is this a knee-jerk reaction thread? Answer: Yes. Question: Does this thread make any sense? Will it make the Rockets any better? Answer: No. Calderon is pretty good offensively, but nothing to write home about. On the flipside, he can't even guard his own shadow. Bargnani is raw and might never pan out. I'm against T-Mac trade threads in general, but this one blows all the others out of the water in terms of ridiculousness (not even sure that this is a word).
Aside from the obvious don't tear apart a team identity by trading it's most productive player principle, you propose trading a 2/3 for a 1, 4/5, and a 5. You're creating all new holes and not really getting enough in return. If we were actually trading Tmac, I'm sure we could get a better deal than this.
