If Houston doesn't make the playoffs will you still love 'um?

    Thourghout the season people (even Rockets fans) have said that this is our defining year, we are a different team now and we have to make the playoffs. We have seen spectacular preformces by Yao, Steve and Cat but is that enough? I want to know who supports the Rockets even if we don't make the playoffs.

    If the Rockets do not make the playoffs i will be disappointed but i will not like them any less. I have loved the Rockets ever since i could talk and watch the Rockets on TV. I watch them every time they are on Tv and i just love em. Steve Cat Yao EG Mo Posey and co. have a lot of talent between them and i think they will be a contender in the playoffs next year. If we do make the playoffs this year which i hope we do, we'll have to play dallas which we have an 0-4 record with them this year and there is a slim chance we will make it out of the fist round but anything is possible.

    Well, tell the truth, if Yao Ming is not in Rocket, I really dont care if Rox make playoff or not.

    I am Yao only fan, hehe;)

    Win or Lose i am a Rocket fan until the day I die. I was born in Houston but moved when i was 4 to Florida, yet i watch the Rockets every chance i get. I remember watchin Hakeem play, the moment i saw the style of play he had, i knew i wanted to play basketball like him. I also remember watchin John Stockton hit that 3 to eliminate the Roxs from the playoffs. That was the only time ive ever cried over a sports game. How about that sick move(s) Hakeem made on David Robinson?! Or The Dream Blocked Starks 3 in the Finals. The Rockets have given me such amazing memories that win or lose, I will always love this team.

    Of course. I don't get mad at a team for losing, because when it all comes down to it there are 28 "loser" teams in the NBA come June. The Rockets made me proud this year whether they make the playoffs or not, because they took a HUGE step forward this season. If not this year, the Rox will be a great team very soon. Baby steps. That's all it is. After all, the Great Wall of China wasn't built in one season!:)

    They haven't made the playoffs since 98-99 and I still rabidly love them. It won't change regardless of this year.

    Many of us were Rockets fans before any of our current players were on the roster (although you don't have to go back too far for that), and we'll still be Rockets fans when every one of them is gone. We are Rockets fans.

    I'll criticize our players when I believe they need to be criticized. I can't figure out how that makes someone less of a fan. The truth is that I wouldn't waste my time criticizing them if I didn't love this team. The team is bigger than any of its individual parts. ( I guess that goes without saying, doesn't it? :) )

    yes, and i dont think rudy t should be fired if we miss either. i really miss him and hope he comes back next year. no major trades either please. lets just try to keep the key components 2gether.

    GO ROCKETS

    NBA CHAMPS IN 4 YEARS

    so really, even if we miss this year there's always next year when our young player r more mature and improved....watch Yao put on like 30 pounds and kick everone's ass, watch Eddie starts dribbling and posting up, and watch Steve averages 10 ast. a game......

    that's why I love 'em

    They could go 0-82 and I'd still be here posting and still lovin' the Rockets. Long before Franchise and Yao I was a Rockets fan. Long after Franchise and Yao I'll be a Rockets fan.
