I was watching cold pizza and they had a segment on various coaching vacancies that will be fillied soon. They said Herb is going to be the man. The man that Isaiah Thomas wants is either larry Brown or nat KcMillian. Niether of these guys can get an interview anytime soon. The only other guy will be Bill Lambeer. But I don't see that happening. Patrick is out!!

Patrick could always be an ASSISTANT coach with the Knicks. You never know.

Patrick is trying to become the assistant coach of the Knicks, not head coach.

Hehe, funny how the title is misleading...

I think he meant that Patrick is out.... out of the Rockets.

Yeah, that's what he meant ... but it was misleading.

I think the Ewing-to-Knicks thing isn't new though .... the New York Post said a month ago that Ewing could join the Knicks if Herb Williams stayed.

Oh, well. It's been one. Good luck Patrick, and don't blow the money on strippers.

Now can we get a real big man coach to work with Yao...

why don't the knicks go after coaches like:

    flip saunders

    jim o'brien

    pj carlesemo

the ex cavs coach that got fired this year (his name escapes me right now)

they either go for phil, larry brown, or settle for herb. there are middle options too.

paul silas. sad thing is, he's a really good coach and has done a good job where he's been. cleveland wasn't very good but their biggest problem is owernship and upper management, that's why they don't win. i think silas is the best coach available and would a good fit in NY because he would know how to get a bunch of guys getting paid WAY too much to be motivated.
