Guys this is one of those posts that will make you realize the state of the NBA when it comes to Centers and it will make you realize that the "trade Hakeem" idea is as stupid as commiting suicide .

First of all who can we say is the best center in the east ?? (that are actually playing this yr..) Ervin Johnson? Motombo? how would this guys rate in the west? Can you imagine the terror Hak would cause throughout the East this yr.? Saaayyy w/the Pacers? (expl.) There are players in the NBA that are 7 footers and get paid huge amt of money just for being 7 footers but not being able to play worth a damn ! The center position throughout the NBA is a rather weak one (hopefully next yr's draft will help change that ) one that cannot be taken for granted and to say that trading Hak would be a good idea is just plain ignorant... an old Hak is much better then just about any center the east has.... think about that people!! specially before sugesting we need to trade him... the anwer HELL NO !!!!

If you are a positive thinking person but yet you listen to country music, isn't that odd?

I don't like most of the scenarios for trading Hakeem... if we could get some very good *young* talent, I would be in favor... he's only ours for this last year, and we ain't gonna winna championship quite yet. Invest in the future, blah blah blah.

I'm not sure I could quite bear to part with him that year though. Glad I'm not CD on that issue.
