would you all say the same stuff about him? He had a bad game, I admit. But he wasn't the reason we lost this game!!!!

Yes, but he won't, and even if he does it will not change the fact that he should retire. One decent game will not erase the bad stats he's put up this year. He is a drain on the offense and a liability on defense.

Just like one good game won't erase the bad stats Hakeem did put up this year, one bad year will not erase the glorious career he has had for Houston Rockets...we did expect to do bad this year since it's a transition year, so you guys just calm down and live with the fact, whether we like it or not!
All this complaining will not make him retire!

No no, I think you misunderstand what we were expecting. We expected for the young guys to go through a learning process. To pick up the NBA style of play and to have our veterans show them how to do it. INSTEAD, Francis has become our centerpiece with Mobes and the other young guys leading the team and Hakeem has put up crapola stats. That is not what I was expecting this year.

I expected Hakeem to show the young guys what it takes to win in the NBA, and all Hakeem has shown is how to just get by....he needs to show some pride in what he does.

He could still make a positive contribution if he just HUSTLED.

I would not mind if he just RAN for as long as he can, and then we took him out for a blow.

He is pacing himself, and there is no need to do that.

Even if we give him plenty of leeway for medical/age reasons, he could still be earning his keep as a leader, coach on the floor etc. I don't see him doing that either.

I think its hard for him to be anything. First he is not a talkative guy and when he does talk, well you cant understand one word he says. [IMG] So this is hard for the players.

    Francis3,

Is he able to stop and ask himself what he's doing out there on the court if he isn't close to accomplishing anything? I used to play pickup ball and ankle problems pulled me down to scrub. I gave it up because it was wrong to expect others to play with someone who wasn't able to get the job done. Winner stays with 4 ups waiting is tough on losers.
