If Hakeem goes S&T, I hope Roc's do better than with Pippen!

With all this recent talk of Hakeem halting a deal for (1) future draft pick and a trade exemption (CAN YOU BELIEVE THE ROCKETS ACTUALLY AGREED TO THAT), and then the funny post tonight about Eric Montross & Brian Skinner being a done deal. Will the Rockets come up short with this S&T, (if Hakeem leaves) and shock us again by taking somebody else's garbage?

It reminded me of the Pippen S&T. The only significant players the Rockets could pry from Portland was Cato & Walt. (Walt, I have no problem with), but the other 5 players were non factors for the Rockets. Granted Pippen was talking crap, and deserved to be traded to the Clippers. But would you have chosen Cato over O'Neil? Carlos Rogers over Brian Grant? I just hope that the Rockets do better job this time (if Hakeem is gone), and renounced his as* if they can't get something favorable for Houston.

There's no way in hell the Blazers would've given one of those players in a sign and trade, much less both.

Sign and trades rarely ever work in the favour of the team losing the player.

Toronto only got back a conditional 1st round pick for Tracy McGrady..

At this point the 1st rounder and trade exception sound way better than the garbage players and cap eaters proposed in other rumors. I'd take that or nothing rather than tie up future caps.

I just wish Dream would decide something---enough is enough!

Pippen wasn't sent to Portland in a sign & trade. He was sent to Houston from Chicago in one the year prior. Anyways, I would have been happy to receive a late 2nd rounder just to get Pippen's $67M contract off our books.
