If francis is a 2 guard, hell likely not be able to be starting in the all star game, or prolly not even at all cuz theres lots of good 2 guards in the western conference
But even at PG is competition still includes shooting guards. People get to vote for 2 guards period. They can be both SG's or PG's, or one of each. So no matter which position he plays the competition will be the same. Great SN by the way.
OK, somebody already started this topic once, but anyway I will end it: all star voting is done by category (G,F,C) and not by sub category. Hence, Gary Payton and Jason Kidd were both selected as starting guards a couple of years ago. Therefore, this has no effect whatsoever.
Yeah, I was pretty much going to say the same thing, Sam. Francis' supposed move to the 'two' would still have no effect on fans voting him as the second best GUARD (SG/PG) behind Kobe. BTW -- aren't there more great/All-Star-caliber SG in the East than in the West anyway?
Is Francis being an All Star more important to you than winning? HELL NO. So it does not even matter.
To me..........both! Of course winning is more important....dang it! But we don't win... So it's nice to be in the All Star Game at least.
Asian Sensation and Griff'Fan, I don' t think rocket b-liever is disputing that wining is more important than making the All-Star game. In fact, him starting this thread seems to have nothing to do with that @ all. I believe he simply brought this up as a random thought so to speak, y'know? Another member also started a thread like this don't forget.
Winning by far, just like the ROY, MVP all unimportant unless u get a ring. Still, back to the TOPIC he'll still be an allstar, they vote for guards, not just sg. Also who u think the fans vote for Ray Allen, Marbury, or Francis, I still say Francis is just a spot behind Kobe as far as fan appeal.
