Amare is over-rated. I think Jamison is better for them.

I wouldnt go out as much to say that amare is overated because I think he is a great offensive player, but I think in this situation antawn jamison would be a better fit as amare would be another guy that would clog up the lane for lebron to work on. I think jamison would be a perfect fit there.

for this year? Yes on Jamison. For the future (i.e. chances at keeping Lebron) if they don't win it all? I think Amare is better just in name value and due to the youth factor

We can't forget that we saw Shaq and Amare next to each other miss the playoffs out West. I certainly wouldn't say they would become the best team as the OP mentioned. If Amare just isn't that good.

I'd agree with this. Especially if they don't resign Shaq, then Amare makes more sense, but I wouldn't want to pay him max dollars.

The reason I think Amare would do well with the Cavs is LeBron is the one guy in the NBA that could set him up as good as Nash. When teams decide to totally collapse on LeBron when he drives, instead of Varejao getting the pass and going to the rim it will be Amare. In fact, if teams shade LeBron too much towards on side of the floor, Amare could wreak havoc on the weakside.

Amare and Shaq would not play much together in Cleveland.

If Cleveland makes this deal.. Stern will have a party in his pants.

    Stern wins.

Fortunately this deal won't happen. At least I hope not.
However I still favor Magic/Lakers over LerBon/Amare Cavs.

I don't know...Steve Nash spends half the game running around in the lane. He takes it in, walks it through, sometimes tosses up a shot, sometimes finds a cutter, sometimes finds someone for an elbow jumper, or sometimes just walks it back out.

Amare fits well with Nash because he's good at hitting the elbow jumper, he's good at slashing in on a sagging defense to bail out the initial penetrator.

I think they can put him to good use with Lebron.

Ooh - and the pick and roll would be awesome.

u know what ?? I think so too, Amare is more popular player bcuz of his athletism, Jamison is a rebounding machine can shoot anywhere from the court plus he is underrated defender.

You have a point.. seeing that the Cavs are 2-0 against Magic.

The point I was trying to make was that the Cavs aren't automatic champions. I think a few Western teams can take on the Cavs with Amare on a 7-game series. Unfortunately only one will get to play them in the finals.

With that said, I hope LerBon walks this off season and goes to NY where his chances of a title in the near future is much slimmer.

leBron has been more of a forward than wing. even playing pf and c on occasion when they go small. with amare and shaq taking a lot of the inside shots is he going to start taking more jump shots or perimeter shots?

Did you watch the Cavs-Magic game? The one in which the Magic were playign their 4th game in 5 days and yet were in a great position to win if Jameer Nelson didn't screw up?

It's gonna be an extremely tight series.
