If Cato was a free agent, would you want the Rockets to resign him?

Everyone is whinning that Cato is making too much money!!! Boo hoooo!!

Look if Cato was a free agent, all of you all would be saying right now that the Rockets number one priority would be to resign him. Imagine how much money Cato would comand on the open market?

Look Cato didn't play consistently last year, but he did show he can play. And during 2 stretches Cato was playing outstanding; Right before the Rockets were all but eliminated from playoff contention, then at the end of the season, Also a third time was during the preseason, and when he was backing up Hakeem and Charles (Okay that was 4 stretches).

Imagine how many teams would try to outbid the Rockets for Cato's services. After all, Robert Horry who does way less than Cato besides hitting the 3 pt shot got a similar contract years ago!!!

Houston Fans, just be happy that the Center position is filled as of now!!! Because if Cato was a free agent, there would be a bidding war for his services.

Name me one other center that the Rockets can sign with similar potential as of Cato for LESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS "less"!!!!!

I would speculate that had Cato not gotten the large contract he got, he would have played much more inspired ball during the season.

He seemed to contract "Juwan Howard's Disease" this year, hopefully its not incurable.

Its only my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

In the "impetuous" style of DEANBCURTIS,

I would definitely NOT sign the Catatonic Bomb.

No way would I pay his lazy body 6 mill/year, especially after the way he paid last year.
Let some other organization sign him for big bucks and mess up their cap situation for 6 or 7 years.

When you come to think of it, Centers are hard to come by these days. how many true centers are there in the league now? Shaq n Alonzo? Ewing, Robinson, and Hakeem are almost done. so i'de say we're lucky to have Cato. Look at the other teams' centers, no direspect to them, but i'de say we ARE fortunate to have Cato. just wait for him to develop.
