Interesting, never though about him, if we have to part with Battier of Ariza in a trade, he'd make a pretty good replacement for the MLE. Good all-around player, not a difference maker though.
Precisely. Only is if both of them are going. If just one leaves I feel that we are okay. It would actually allow Taylor, Martin & Budinger to have court time and develop. I have a strong feeling that Budinger may be able to be as good as Childress was if not better. Maybe not as naturally athletic, but makes up for it by being a better shooter. Also, you could potentially go really small and play Lowry, Brooks, and Ariza/Martin depending on what you are looking for or the match ups. I've also read rumors that they try to move Horford because of his contract if they sign Johnson to the max. I find that to be extremely unlikely, but if he is available we should jump at that chance.
now we have reached the point of "trading just for the sake of trading" we are loaded,and need backups. you only trade that if it brings in a superstar. i think anthony randolph has that potential,im surprised morey isnt going after him...
Given the lack of news I'm hearing about him now being on the market, I have a feeling Morey is just waiting to get him even cheaper than he is right now.
If you want to get him cheap, you need to get him when nobody is talking about him. As soon as teams with cap room whiff on the big 3, every other decent FA is going to get bid up like crazy.
