Anyone else received an email from your "bank" lately, requesting a lot of personal info? I got a couple of emails, allegedly from Chase, saying "there have been attempts to log on to my account from multiple computers" and that I should click on the link.

Once there it asks for everything...social security number, credit card number, and pin number. The address at the top of the link is numbers, not "chase.com/whatever" so that was a big clue right there. I filled out the form something like this:

    Name: Nice Try
    email: scam@scam.com

    Beware.

Frankly, I can't believe people are stupid enough to fall for this kind of thing.

i have had a couple of paypal emails the last couple of months asking for information becuase they are going to close my account and seize whatever funds i have in there because of some stupid problem. hotmail does a good job of recognizing scam emails because eventhough the emails were in my inbox when you open them it says that it can not verify the source and doesn't allow any of the links to work.
