    Dream + Mobley, not Francis.

i'd rather do it that way too but i don't think the lakers would take mobley instead of francis. his game is too similar to kobe. they want a superstar PG.

I wouldnt trade Steve for ANYBODY. And if you trade Mobley you might as well say goodbye to Steve because it shows how much loyalty the rocks have to their players is they trade him in his first year of a 5 year deal.

LOL!! What a stupid thing to post! Do you honestly think the Rockets are dumb enough to trade Steve about 2 years before he becomes dominant enough to have a chance at the MVP.

shaq makes this team a contender this season. rudy knows how to win with a dominant big man. moochie isn't on the same level as stevie but i think he's capable of being a solid starter in this league.

You just want to trade Steve because he's gay... err.. wait a sec... [IMG]

Seriously, though, I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. You'd have to be crazy not to. [IMG]

Well I'll be the crazy one and say I wouldn't do that trade. I realize that Shaq is a monster and the most dominant center in the league, but in a couple years Steve's gonna be the most dominant PG in the league.

What's the difference between the superstars? (other than the obvious) You can't rely on Shaq in the 4th quarter. He can't hit a free throw to save his life. I know steve's missed a couple FT's during crunch time but the difference is he's only in his second year and he'll learn to hit the critical shot towards the end of the game. A team needs their superstar to be out there in the final minutes of a game, and Shaq is a liability on the offensive side in the 4th. All you have to do is foul him and watch him hit 1 of 2 (if he's lucky). The only reason he got a ring last year was b/c Portland choked. If I was in a close game I'd rather have Steve in the game instead of Shaq in the final minutes. That's why I wouldn't trade Steve away for anyone except for Garnett or Duncan.

that trade is pointless ur trading a mvp caliber pg for an mvp caliber center except shaqs older and cant be counted on in the 4th..u do realize it takes a stellar guard and forward/center combo to win titles right..so whats the point..

well the "point" is to get a presence in the paint. and we have a stellar guard in Cuttino.

Shaq may be "older" but he's not "old".
He's only a year older than Webber.
as for his FT shooting, well maybe Calvin can help him out?

Also, dominant centers are a hell of a lot rarer than dominant point guards.

Anyone think of team chemistry?? You honestly think Cuttino and others would play to their potential with a 7 footer demanding the ball in the post all the time??? And how long u think that would last? U can't just put someone in a team and expect everything from them. Example Pippen, think twice before u trade Steve in a heart beat. Plus we would constantly be getting dissed for Shaq's dumb ass comments! I wanna be proud to be a Rockets fan and that is by keeping Francis for his career!

Shaq has said time and time again that Dream is the best big man ever. Of course when you're kicked around like shaq was back in 95 it is hard not to believe that.

I would trade Francis for Shaq any day. You'd be dumb as hell not to. Granted Stevie's a great talent but Shaq is one of the most dominating centers ever to play. Points, rebounds, blocks, he brings it every nigt. Shaq is so unstoppable we'd be a contender to win it all this year.

A good center is a helluva lot harder to find than a good PG, and Shaq is the BEST center in the NBA. How many championships has GP won? Jason Kidd? John Stockton? Shall I continue. Hope you see my point...and don't give me that Isaiah Thomas crap.

Duncan/DRob let SA two years ago. Lakers won it all last year because of Shaq mainly. We won two championships because of Hakeem...Open court offenses like our current one do not work in the playoffs where half-court offense is so important. Just surround Shaq with some three point shooters like Rudy used to and we have an instant NBA title.
