Has anyone heard of this product? My S/O swears this is worth the money and improves the food taste etc blah blah etc. I told her it's not much different from most of the other cookware in the market and it does NOT make a thousand dollar difference. Here's the product that's throwing our relationship in limbo. Actually, it's her "everything from quixtar is so great why can't you buy into it" that's causing us problems.

Think of a product from multi-level marketing/pyramid schemes that is worthwhile....

Unless this iCook cookware is made by Apple Computers I don't see how it could be worth a thousand bucks. Just give your girl a pearl necklace and she will forget about the cookware in the morning.

Junk. Carbon steel is terrible heat distribution properties. If you going to be spending that kind of money, I would choose all-clad or something similar. The best pan for grilling is cast iron.

Is your girl a professional chef? Does she cook EVERY meal you eat from scratch? Those are the only two reasons I could think of to spend that kind of money on pots and pans, and even then I don't buy it.

Most restaurants use pots and pans from restaurant supply stores, and that stuff is nothing special. What is special is the commercial stoves and other appliances, the ingredients, and of course the skill. Gourmet pots and pans is one of the last things someone would spend money on.

Probably because she'd be extremely pissed off at the necklace.
