Johnny Davis took over for Rivers in Orlando when he was fired. I guess he is Mr. Interm Coach.

This is a mercy killing. Should have happened sooner. Johnny Davis may not do much better but there is no illusion he is head coaching material.

The Grizzlies are a pathetic franchise with some talented players.

Please... I'd rather be a Houston Community College student than attend Texas A&M.

i remember he didn't even attempt to have the magic playing defense while he was there. but they did run a lot so maybe gay and mayo will put up some numbers.

To think I wanted the Rockets to hire this dude...cuz he was with the Suns with D'antoni and I figured we could run an offense like PHX had for 3 years...

Memphis has been hurt since Dirk hit that 3 to force OT in game 3 of that 06 1st round series.

Johnny Davis: Journeyman interim coach. The man to hire when you want your team to tank.

But did you know that Lionel Hollins was briefly the Grizz coach in Vancouver for a short period? He was something like 18-42. He's fits your bill pretty well too.

The Grizzlies are the most pathetic franchise in the NBA. They need to be sold and moved.

    Hilarious.

Before crowning Hollins, the Pistons offered the job to Avery Johnson, and he said "No thanks".
