This is a mercy killing. Should have happened sooner. Johnny Davis may not do much better but there is no illusion he is head coaching material. The Grizzlies are a pathetic franchise with some talented players.

Lionel Hollins gets the job on a full-time basis. But did you know that Lionel Hollins was briefly the Grizz coach in Vancouver for a short period? He was something like 18-42. He's fits your bill pretty well too. The Grizzlies are the most pathetic franchise in the NBA. They need to be sold and moved.
Hilarious. Before crowning Hollins, the Pistons offered the job to Avery Johnson, and he said "No thanks".
