Man, what a freakin' night. I start out watching the Lewis-Tyson fight at Lake Travis - I go up to the convienent store after the fight to pick up some beer and on the way back I ran into somebody. Fortunately, the guy was alright, but I feel like crap - I'm all sorts of banged up, and my car is now in two pieces. Quite possibly the crapiest thing that has ever happened to me - oh well. -Turbo
You're named Turbo, you had to expect something like this to happen! Seriously, get well soon and hopefully things get better!
I was speeding on an unfamilar road and lost control of my car, which then crossed lanes and was hit by oncoming traffic - a fairly significant jolt that makes me want to bandwagon hop like nutty. -Turbo
Glad to hear you are okay Turbo! I hate it when you get confused by an unfamiliar road. I got pulled over for suspected DUI once because I got confused on a road in Louisiana, and it looked like I was drunk. It's a difficult situation sometimes. I hope it doesn't cost you too much.
Man turbo, I'm glad to hear you're alive. Oncoming collisions are friggin scary!! I had one a couple of years ago just about a month after I got my truck. Some friends and I were leaving Outback Pub and I was just going down the street parallel to Richmond(behind Outback) and this guy swerved into my lane. We would have hit head on if I didn't react so quickly. He ended up nailing the front drivers side of my truck which locked my front wheels into a left turn and we almost went into the ditch on the side of the road. Luckily I forced the truck across one of the few spots on that road that you can cross, over a curb and into a parking lot next to what used to be Boogie Nights. I was so pissed I hopped out of my truck, made sure my friends that were with me were ok and proceeded to haul ass running down the road after that guys smoking car. I would have busted him in the face if he hadn't broken down and apologized and pleaded with me to leave the cops out of it and actually handed me his drivers license and insurance card and told me to keep it until the next day. I was so steamed I told him only if he would sign a statement admitting guilt, which he did, and I left. Fortunately everything worked out and no one was hurt. It could easily have been alot worse.
