I think someone will take the bait. He'll be quite cheap and his passing ability doesn't really require his non-existent athleticism (due to surgeries). It's just a matter of what's between his ears -- can he have a passing mentality over the scorer's mentality he's used to?

Who knows? It could be KAAAAAAHHHHN! who takes a flyer on him. What a train wreck that would become.

I think that he'll eventually get one. And I hope that whichever team takes him is able to make the playoffs.

I haven't been a fan of his since his surgery announcement, but I'd like to see him get defeated in the first round of the playoffs again. :p

But I don't know if that will even humble his ego...

I'm guessing that he'll end up on an East team soon that may be a 5 to 8 seed come playoff time.

    Haters gotta hate ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I'd laugh when T-Mac comes back strong and plays us then kicks our ass scoring like 30+ 10+ reb and 10+ assists on a game winner.

matter of fact, it'd be wayyy funnier if he does 13 points in 35 seconds again, in Houston.

No contender is looking for a guy who's only concern is shooting himself into one last multi-year contract.

i'm willing to bet he'll never do that ever again in his life, he can be at Dave and Buster's playing pop a shot and he couldn't do that.

It would be funny if all the T-mac fans all gathered to a single place and waited for Tmac to do this.

I wish him the best and I'm sure he'll be able to sign with another team for the minimum. Its funny how T-Mac fans are more delusional than he is at this point in his career.

If he does somehow get picked up by a team and plays a game in Houston, this is more likely:

I was at that game. The arena was dead silent and all you could here was him screaming in pain.

    It was AWESOME . . err . . . I mean terrible.

seriously the guy is so freaking delusional I mean Shaq signed for the vet min and he was far more productive last year than T-Mac was despite age and injuries.

Tmac needs to get his head on quick sign a 1 year vet min deal with a not so great team so he can get some minutes than hope for a 2-3 deal next season.

Doubt it happens I wonder if NY would want him back it doesnt look like they do either.

    Maybe the Nets?

The guy is the biggest primadonna I have ever seen after a while you think someone or something would have knocked some sense into him but no

Refresh my memory what happened, did he get elbowed in the eye socket by Bill Cartwright like what happened to Olajuwon?

From what I recall, backpedaling slowly with nobody in his vicinity.

McGrady is potentially heading into his 14th season on a crooked spine and a jacked up knee.

Given his attitude and overwhelming ego, I can't see how he could be anything other than a distraction to a team regardless of his role.

As if the GARM needed another thread about freakin Tracy McGrady. Who cares if he was your favorite player back in 2005. Im not "hater," Im a realist like most NBA GM's. He showed up for an "try out" in Chicago and....

    A. talked the media as if he was the next superstar coming to Chicago, and that the deal was already done. Showed he would not expect to come off the bench.
    B. Reports are out that he did not show up in shape, and was STILL favoring his knee.

Will he get a contract. Probably. Allen Iverson got one last year so Im sure he will take a non-guarenteed contract at the veterans minimum to prove something. But lets face it.

He's done. GET OVER IT. Go play NBA Live 2004.
