He'll need to go Wolverine, to be able to contribute for the playoffs, if all he's done is water rehab and now running on a high tech treadmill. I wonder if they can reverse the gravity on that thing?
Yep. Sounds like he has a lot of rehab to go before he can even do drills on a court much less play a real game. Let's not even get into him actually getting back to where he was before the injury. To be honest, I'm not sold on LA even if Bynum comes back. I know the media is looking for the next great Lakers' center but this kid is a long way (even when healthy) from being what they are making him out to be. Carl Landry brings more to this team than Bynum brings to LA. Scola does as well. shhhhh...don't tell the media what I just said. 13/10 might as well be 28/14 when they are talking about Bynum.
This is exactly what I was thinking. The Lakers always have the most overrated role players ever. The media overrates them. If Bynum played for the Milwaukee Bucks no one would know who he is.
Do not underrate what Bynam did for the Lakers. He was crucial to their early season success. Bynam has abilities to create his own shot in the low post with his foot work and moves, a rare ability among NBA centers. He is also a very good post defender and shot blocker. His impact on the court is bigger than his stats indicate. If Bynam comes back healthy, it'll give a big boost to the Lakers' post-season hopes.
