A restaurant in Huntsville was actually serving some tonight.

If my girlfriend wasn't with me I might have ordered some.

Instead, I went with the quesadillas.

Ironically, the "pink taco" was the last straw for the original people at Taco Cabana, so they defected and created a far superior franchise called "Two Pesos."

The sad part was that taco cabana couldn't remotely compete with Two Pesos, so they took them to court.

In the end, all we have is crappy taco cabana...

    God, I miss Two Pesos.

    How old are you?

Nobody I've ever heard of has ever said that Taco Cabana was better than Two Pesos.

I'm assuming you're under 30 by that comment, alone.

    Learn before you speak, son...

Two Pesos was the best. Of course, I never went there when I wasn't stoned out of my mind, or tripping, but I remember it fondly.

Two Pesos had great food and good Margaritas that were cheap. I didn't get to enjoy that for long, because I was 21 when the court shut them down.

On the topic of hilarious business signs, I drove by one the other day that simply read:

"My boss asked me to change this sign, so I did!"

    It was a flower shop.

Uh...I didn't say it was better...

I'm talking about the same building being about 5 different "restaurants" over the years.

Was Taco Cabana, turned into Two Pesos, then became Connie's Seafood, then Mambo Seafood, now it's...Manny's Seafood?

    Bellaire and Hillcroft.

Two Pesos ruled. I used to love to eat at the one on Kirby/59 after a night of high school drinking.

    Taco C blows

Two Pesos did, indeed, rule. But I always thought those Margaritas were wine-based and not Tequila...thus why they were so cheap. just a rumor and my taste buds. I could be wrong.

For cheap Margaritas, Chapultepec used to do $1 Margaritas for Friday lunch. And those were their regular quality ones. (Do they still do that?) Man, we used to walk there from Rice after Friday classes (no one had cars), and down some of those with the free chips and soup then head back for the campus TG.

    good times.
