I went for a haircut and got a belly dancer instead.

    So last Friday I go to get my hair cut at Visible Changes (I know) at West Oaks Mall. I get my hair shampooed and I sit down. Nathaniel, the guy who always cuts my hair, is about to start when the techno music turns off and the manager calls for everyone's attention. One of the stylists had just made $2,000,000 (cumulatively over her career) for the company. They knew it was going to happen and to celebrate they gave everybody champagne and hired a belly dancer to dance around the place. They played some middle eastern music and some Shakira through an iPod stereo. Three songs total. It was intriguing at first but became uncomfortable after a while. The girl was hispanic and not bad looking but had a cottage cheese thing going on her stomach. Not a good thing for a belly dancer. Now, I know they're supposed to have some meat on 'em (they have to have something to shake) and I don't mind some meat on a girl but she had gone a little too far. Anyway, after about 20 minutes and lots of mall folks looking in, she got dressed and left. I was kind of surprised that they hired a belly dancer to dance for a female employee. But her husband, two infants, and parents were there so I guess a male stipper wasn't appropriate. Not that I wanted to see that either. The stylist a banquet thrown for her and a $10K bonus. The only ones invited are the others who've made $2 mil for the company. They get $5K for showing up.

    Just thought I'd share.

    There were some bellydancers at the Holiday in the Heights celebration back in December...

    Pretty cool...hey, to make the company that kind of coin and get a bonus on top of that...good for her...Did you say the other people get $5K for showing up?

    Oh yeah, I use to go to VC when I was in high school, when I didn't have to pay for it...then in college, when I did have to pay for it, Supercuts...Now, I do it myself...I keep it short and it doesn't cost me a dime...

    As for the almost hottie, well, give her an "E" for effort...where are the pics...

    The dude's cool. He might be fruity. I can't tell. Don't really care. Has has a red mohawk. Random phrases. Does good work. Used to be a bailiff in San Antonio. My cat's breath smells like catfood.

    Sorry. No pics. I wasn't thinking about the BBS at the time and forgot I needed proof. I also forgot I had a camera phone. But even if I did, I really wouldn't want to save an image of a cellulite gut on my phone.
