First of all, I am a die-hard Rockets fan.
Living in CA, I bought DSS just so I could
get NBA league pass just for 1 team - the
    ROCKETS!!!

Anyways, watching the Kings game last night,
I have reached the conclusion that all this
talk about how much talent we have and how
we are almost there losing by a few points
    every game is IRRELEVANT.

Point is - we are NOT play together as a
team. Did you see our shot selection and
defense the last 5 minutes last night?!?

When you have Barkley and Hakeem shooting
last minute 3's, then Francis trying to
shoot under the basket triple covered,
AND allowing something like 5 uncontested
layups on the defensive end, YOU DON'T
    DESERVE TO WIN!

We have serious fundamental problems with
the team. Yes yes, it will come with time.
I'm not arguing that. But, don't expect
things to turn around overnight. We are in
    for a loooong season.

I used to think we were the best 2-5 team
in the league, heh. Now, I think that our
    record is deserved.

To use a Barkley-ism, the next few months
will tell us alot about the character of the
Rockets and quality of the coaching staff.

We did do bad down the stretch. But man it wasnt that bad. They played well throughout the game. I saw things that I was really impressed by. But that was really dumb for Barkley and Hakeem to take such dumb shots.

Rudy doesnt know who to put in at the right time and we have no one good to backup Francis. You can tell Francis was really tired.

But Im still going to root for this team, no matter what. We just NEED a couple of players and we can get back up.

    Hey SF,

Glad to see you are still animated in your support of the Rockets. [IMG]

We actually did have some good moments in the last couple of games. Your are correct that we have not yet become a smoothly functioning, highly confident team...but they have improved over earlier games.

As in the past, this team has the talent to win some games even when they don't perform to their potential, and yes that is relevant. It will take a long time for them to reach their full potential, but we will start winning games long before that.

FWIW, we bought our DSS (about 4 years ago)as many other here for the Rockets also.
