For those of you that went to tonight's game... I was the lucky Rockets fan who got selected to shoot a layup, free throw, three pointer, and half court shot during a timeout in the 2nd quarter.

Talk about nerve racking!!! You never realize how much pressure there is until you're actually out there!

I hit the layup on the first attempt, but missed free throw after free throw until the final seconds of my alloted 30 second time period!

    Clutch baby!

I won a DVD player and digital camera!

    I love this game!

Good job out there! About the only comment I heard in my section was that you were dribbling too much. How many megapixels is the camera?

LOL -- we were all yelling at you in section 419 -- I called you Shaq (sorry). :) Congratulations -- enjoy the DVD player and the Camera!!

Speaking of which, sorry to Hijack you're thread drapg, but I don't want to start a new one for this:

If you were at the game tonight, where did you sit?

I bet a few people saw me tonight -- 419, row 3, seat 9. I was the white guy in the row -- red shirt, red hat on backwards, red sign that said "Go Rockets" on one side, and "How Sweet It Is!" on the other side. After we won, I ran around the upper deck with it.

Thanks for the support fellas. ;)

B... I won't find out what camera I won for another 2 weeks.
Yeah, I dribbled a lot b/c its the only way I can get comfortable before shooting a free throw. I have custom of taking 2 dribbles, than spinning the ball towards my body before taking a free throw. Kinda slowed me down, I guess.

Seriously though, shooting when there is no wall behind the backboard, but instead a mass of thousands of people just makes your heart skip faster and your eyes play tricks on you.

Not that I'm making excuses... Yeah I sucked.

You shoot free throws just like Shaq.

    just kidding.
I know it could be nerve racking.
Your lucky they helped you get your rebounds.
If you shoot well, they will not help you.

Actually, there was a "controversy" (if you want to call it that) beforehand as to whether or not they would grab my rebounds. They didn't know if they had enough staff members to have people rebound for me. At the last minute, some of my alloted rebounders were asked to take care of another task... but thankfully my girl (the one who invited me down to partake in the event) had my back and made sure there were ample rebounders before I got out there.

Tyree - What's your seat number. I was in the same row, but closer to 119...you must have been closer to 121. I had a red Rockets t-shirt on.

Drapg - yeah, you did suck, but you made it half way and were super excited so that's good.

Other timeout comments. The celbrity look-a-like cam was really bad last night and the kiss cam was only so-so, but the melon head cam is great every time.

On a random note, there is this one guy the Rockets have selling merchandise that is without a doubt the greatest merchandise seller ever. He is a spitting image of Chris Tucker.
