Yeah, yeah, I know how many Nickelback fans are on this board, but I wanted to post two things. First, how many people can you actually identify in their actual video? <object width="425" height="353"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DmeUuoxyt_E"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DmeUuoxyt_E" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="353"></embed></object> Second, this is an hysterical spoof of the song: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oZv9JN4U6kk"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oZv9JN4U6kk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
BTW, I was able to recognize 17 people in the first video, but I'm sure their were a few I didn't recognize/don't know.
wow, i had to watch that garbage on mute. that band is absolute crap. where is that video of those fans booing and throwing crap on stage.
Nickelback is like someone took the songs Creed threw into their "**** pile" and smothered them in a fine coat of Whale Puke. But what do you expect from someone who thinks a 3-note joke band like AC/DC is the best band that ever lived.
Go listen to your death metal, music-boy. 1 - All music is subjective. 2 - This thread had nothing to do with Nickelback's music. 3 - I guarantee you I've listened to quite a bit more music than you have. Quit jumping on the music-snob bandwagon, child. Answer the question, or don't respond.
Seriously, I've never listened to Nickelback before but I was unaware that they were what is known today as a 'country' band (sort of a cheap redneck pop/rock band with a thin cowboy veneer). I guess for a long time country has been sliding towards rock/pop and this is 'rock' comming to meet them halfway? Is that why so many people hate them? Seriously, this song made me think of this kind of confused musical crap: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/epdmJwH-IdU"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/epdmJwH-IdU" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Do you listen to popular country fatty? Is that why you and others seem to enjoy them while so many others despise them? Honest question.
I don't think people dislike them because they are a psuedo rock band. The reason is their brand of rock music is very generic. There is absolutely no vocal range from the lead singer. Someone did some sort of testing on the beat and break of Nickelback's music, and many of their songs have the same structure. See here: http://digg.com/music/Scientific_Proof_That_Nickelback_Sucks Obviously music is subjective, but I think it irks most ppl that they get so much airtime for being something of a generic product. The band Daughtry also comes to mind when I hear Nickelback.
That song has been a guilty pleasure of mine this summer. They play it on VH1 Nocturnal. I know that broad in the pool is a p*rn star. I remember seeing her on Howard Stern with 50 cent. Do I have to turn in my Alt. Indie card on account of finding that song catchy? Edit: I recognized 25. How in gods name did they get Eric Idle to do a video. p*rn sluts name is Daisy
from what i remember most of your taste in music is easily made fun of. if you like crap music you cant get mad at people when they make fun of it on a freaking message board. comes with the area you know.
If you KNOW Nickelback is so roundly hated, don't post a video and get all offended when everybody tells you they suck.
The video has nothing to do with the song. You know better. I'm not offended by anyone hating any band, really. But there have been plenty of Nickelback hatred threads on this board. This isn't one of them. As you've stated before, if you don't like the thread material, don't respond.
I'd still listen to Nickelback over Creed, but if there was a third option of jumping off a building, I'd have to think about it.
Doesn't their cd sales speak for itself? I just read an article in Entertainment Weekly about how their album from 2 years ago continues to be huge.
