This season has been pretty boring so far. I know it's been the rage for the last couple of years, but to me it hasn't been fantastic so far. You guys think it'll get better? Is it just me?
It has been kind of slow. But it seems they are laying the foundation for some earth shattering stuff to happen in the last month of the season. 1) Will Christopher OD? 2) Will Adrianna rat people out? 3) Will Adrianna get whacked? 4) Will Paulie get whacked? 5) Will Ralphie get whacked and if so which of the dozen or so guys he's pissed off had it done? 6) Will Furio make a move on Carmella? 7) Will Janice try to hook up with Bobby? There are others, but know that they are gearing up for some BIG things.
I have to agree. I've been very disappointed with this season, which has moved along slowly. I think the illness of Tony Sirico has a lot to do with it though, b/c in my opinion he is a fantastic character in the show. However, based on his past track record, I'm more than willing to give Chase the benefit of the doubt and withhold judgement until the season finale. I do have to say that the use of product placement is starting to go a little overboard for my taste. edit: by the way, I hope they resolve the whole Pine Barrens Russian story, I want to see him come back with Paulie's caddy and raise hell! and is anyone else sick of Janice besides me?
i was hoping Ralphie would take care of it after his "fall" down the stairs.... ah well, i can still hope. i wonder what the actress is like in real life... she plays an evil manipulator really well, a little too well if you ask me!
1) His use doesn't seem to be getting worse or anything, so I don't think so 2)Yes, she was pretty pissed about the chair. 3)No, what slutty looking chick is ready to step up and take her place on the show? 4)Yes, by Tony over the horse 5)No way 6)Yes, and she will accept his advances 7)Obviously yes. Still, unless Ralphie proves harder to kill than I think, not a lot of excitement there.
I think Chrissy's habitual drug use will ultimately be Tony's downfall, seeing how he's trying to tie himself "to family only"
I think it's the little things that make the show great. I also think they are working up to what should be some killer episodes as the season winds on.
This horse racing episode was pretty boring. Can't believe Tony paid the vet either. Adriana looked pretty horrible without the pancake makeup. Too much foreplay this season. Not enough resolution. So does Aid get the bullet to the head from Christopher or Tony?
now that I think about it, its the lack of sex (Bada Bing gratuitous stripper shots) and violence (only 1 death and we're almost halfway through the season!) that are making this one slow year... lots of setup, so little action. hopefully the second half of the season will make up for it.
