I thought I would never say it, but I miss Mo.

We miss Mo Taylor badly. Could we have taken him for granted? I think so. I would feel a little better about Francis being out if Mo was playing along with Cat. That would give us two scoring options. Not to take anything away from Kenny but he's not you prototypical scoring power forward. I just thought I pass that along.

Totally agree with you j-bone. Taylor gave us a true low post option that we currently don't have.

I miss that sweet Mo Taylor jumper more than anything. Kenny has been great...but we could REALLY stretch defenses if we had Mo hitting those outside shots.

mo would always get us off to those fast starts every game by shooting 4-5 in the first quarter. sure he would only score a shot or two the rest of the game but, thats what steve and cat are for.

our problem has been getting off to poor starts and then haveing to come backe from being down by 20 pts. in the words of busta rhymes "gimme some mo!"

Good point. I had almost forgotten those quick starts Mo had last season once he got comfortable with the team. I haven't looked at the stats, but it seems we're always behind at the 1stQ this season.

My hope for next season is that the Rocks have 2 healthy viable centers because as much as I'm gonna enjoy his return, watching him play the 5 makes me cringe!

I miss First Quarter Mo a lot too.

smoothie hit it right on the nose. We can't get to the playoffs if we expect a huge comeback every night.

I totally agree, Griffin woudnt get any time at all but Mo could have been that 3rd scoring option that we were lacking so far in the season and now that Francis is out we could really use them!

I really have no idea what we are going to do with KT,Mo, and Eddie when they are all available, I just say forget about positions and just put your best players on the court.

I agree, maybe it is time to let Griffin get some earlier minutes.

I agree that we MO's jumper is his most valuable asset. Kenny's shot has improved but it's still not, and will probably never be on the level of Mo's shot.

I don't know why anyone would miss Taylor. If the job was open for competition, Thomas would beat him out. Maybe Thomas can't shoot consistently from 19ft, but who wants a 4 that does, especially on this team. Thomas is playing just as good as Taylor did last yr, plus he's not getting into foul trouble and playing 28min a game. Mo Taylor , Glen Rice are whats wrong with this team. Most teams on most nights kill us at those 2 spots because of the lack of quickness and explosiveness. I have never been a Thomas or Taylor fan, but Thomas brings it every night and the entire game as opposed to Taylor. My choice is to pray and hope Griffin is the player we and the coaches think he is at the 4 spot. Then we'll be able to enter battle with some ammo instead of smoke and mirrors.

1 - Taylor would be a big help in the first quarter just as many have pointed out. WE suck in the first quarter usually and his hot shooting would help us stay in it.

2- Especially on THIS team, we need big men that can shoot to give our guards a bit of room to drive. Mo can do that very well. Plus its not like the only thing Mo can do is shoot - he has a nice faceup abilities to score down low.

This teams losses can be contributed to a number of things and Mo Taylor's injury is definitely one of them. Kenny Thomas is not, night in and night out, a low post option. His game is a cross between SF and PF. Taylor, while taking a lot of shot, still plays with mroe power and commands more interior defense respect, opening up the middle for drives. I am very pleased with KT's play thus far, but Mo would start if he was wealthy, and with both, this team would definitely be much better.

Wow, people are actually missing Mo. I'm shocked...

Miss Mo? No sh*t. He'd be our franchise player until Cat gets back. As much as I like KT working the inside, I'd like MoT milking the outside. His shots actually fall, ya know...

Mo is an important piece whether or not he or Steve is injured. He is our #3 man after all, we just haven't seen him this year yet. Do not forget him when estimating future success. For $48 mil we'd better get some goddam success outta him, especially since a year of that contract was paid for him to sit on his ass...

I think he'll be worth the $ in the long run, especially since that $ isn't mine.

The reality is that KT has performed just as well as Mo. I think some of you have the grass is greener syndrome.

    Kenny this season - 11.9 pts/7.4 rebs/ 48.2 fg%

    Mo last year - 13 pts/5.5 rebs/ 48.9%

Yeah, but I believe would take on more of the responsibility with Francis and Mobley out. Remember, he was the man at Michigan and with the Clippers before coming over and playing third fiddle to Steve and Cat. I just believe that he would take on more of the scoring load whereas K.T. only takes what's giving to him and won't force the action.

Very good point! I miss Mo! Don't forget, our offense was built for The Franchise, The Cat and The Mo as 1,2, & 3 options. I think the reason why we have been up and down, is we are expecting Kt to fill Mo's void. KT is a different scoring option.

If Mo was playing we would be on pace with the Spurs.:D

Get real. Mo Taylor is a better PF/SF than KT. He's a better option on offense, and now that we can use zones, there's no reason KT would start ahead of MO-T. If Steve and Cat were out, and Mo was playing, he'd score 30 points. I would put my money on it.

Oh please... you same people getting misty over Mo are going to be the same people next year complaining when he's getting his 14 points and 5 rebounds a game.
