I heard Rudy is coming up on ESPN News. I'll watch it. edit: Oops. Too late. He's on now. He said Ming got him real excited after the last game. He also said he isn't scouting him, but wants to see how he does so he can plan. He also said he is playing with football rules in the WG's. He said he was happy that Shaq only played them 4 times, so that's ok. (can't expect a college senior to stop Shaq.) He talked about Yao's English and how he went 50/50 with him. (some with him, some with his friend.) He also is happy with Steve's signing. He is a "major, major piece of the puzzle." Ear problem can be controlled. Rudy would like to be competitive, but he can't read the future. His gut feeling is that they are headed the right direction. He mentioned drafting Ming, Nachbar, and Tito, and Griff last year.
If it looks like Cola but does not smell like Cola then it must be RUDYS cup! Did he have a cup in his hand with some "cola and ice"
Finally got some replies. I though George Karl's opinion was more important than Rudy's. BTW, I saw it twice, so I can add that he said this time last year was when everything went bad. He stated that he only had his rotation in tact for 3 games.
I missed Rudy talking, but I caught Karl's Interview. Karl was asked about Yao Ming and his response was something like, "Yao is so big. He can shoot and block shot's. He is so big." When asked if he would have drafted Yao he replied, "With all the International players in the Draft now its a guessing game." He was asked the question again and he said, "Probable not. I would have just traded the pick." These are not exact quotes, but close.
Rdy has commented before about the beating that Yao is taking...he said the Canadian guy should have had about 30 fouls, or something.
