It's him who left his hand mark in Yao's Basketball Park in shanghai. And today after the game he just gave high comment for him. We should use yao to attract him to Rox. :D

Sounds great, he's got a really small contract, right?

The chances of landing Peja without giving up T-Mac are pretty much zero. And getting him as a free agent will be near impossible because Peja has never gotten a blockbuster contract. He's on some crummy $6 million a year deal right now. You can pencil him in right now for landing a max level contract when he gets free. Which is something that the Rox would be hard-pressed to be able to offer him.

It has always been a dream to get my 3 favorite players in the NBA on the same team....Tmac, Yao, and Peja. Its not going to happen, but then again i didnt think Tmac and Yao would ever team up before this summer.

Houston trades: SF Clarence Weatherspoon (5.0 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 0.6 apg in 16.7 minutes)
SF Bostjan Nachbar (3.1 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.7 apg in 11.5 minutes)
Houston receives: SF Peja Stojakovic (3.1 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.7 apg in 11.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -8.1 ppg, -5.5 rpg, and -1.3 apg.

Sacramento trades: SF Peja Stojakovic (3.1 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.7 apg in 11.5 minutes)
Sacramento receives: SF Clarence Weatherspoon (5.0 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 0.6 apg in 52 games)
SF Bostjan Nachbar (3.1 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.7 apg in 45 games)
Change in team outlook: +8.1 ppg, +5.5 rpg, and +1.3 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Houston and Sacramento being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Sacramento had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    ...plus two first-round picks ;).

Assuming that he could do this, I doubt he would. I mean as previously state, he's never been on a blockbuster type contract before. He is just starting to get into his prime years. I think at this point in his career, winning a championship as a role player is not very high on his to-do list.

He can opt out, but when we traded for McGrady, we give an all star, a pretty good SG and a rarity in serviceable center in Cato. Now, if you take out Yao and TMac, we have nothing anyone else would want.

Too bad he plays the same position as T-Mac. I would rather get Michael Redd.

Peja is only 27 years old. I think he would go for a max contract instead of a chance to play for a contending team if he has to pick one out of the two.
