I think I'm losing my faith, in the rockets that is. Last year, i saw a Rockets team I haven't seen in a while. We had a young team, with aspiring new talents, and already established players. It felt like everything was starting to fall into place, we had the team, we had the coach, we had the players, everything seemed to fit. When it all began I honestly thought we were gonna make the playoffs, we were gonna win, everything. Now, we're in complete disaray, I don't know who is staying and who is going. The only person I know I wont see next season is our only leader, Rudy T. Rumors fly about Mobely, I don't know what's going to happen to Steve, and I don't see how any person could pick off where Rudy left off, emotionally and on the basketball floor. None of this makes sense and I feel as if I am losing my faith in the Rockets, is there anything I can do?
all you can do is relax and trust the higher up's in the organization. Les Alexander will be tested. He said this was one of the greatest teams ever assembled. So we will see if he dismantles it or not. In my opinion there will be a few changes but Steve Francis and Yao Ming will both be Rockets next which are the only ones that really matter. Larry Brown, Mike Fratello, Jeff Van Gundy, Paul Silas, or Mike Dunleavey will be most likely the next coach of the rockets. Regardless which one of these it is, the rockets will compete. With the right system and guidence this will be a 50 win team. The next few months will definitely be interesting. Once we have the coach, we will get a better idea of what will happen to the roster. Just imagine, next year, their first year in the new arena, with a new coach and new uniforms the rockets have won 53 games and are heading to the playoffs for the first time in 4 years. It's gonna happen, who's with us when it does is yet to be determined.
Don't judge the move yet. I was fond of Rudy, but from a success/failure analysis, Rudy's dismissal may have been justified. The real test is what comes next. If we bring in someone who doesn't improve the team, then Firing Rudy was a huge mistake. Firing Rudy was in itself neither wrong nor right. What comes next will determine the wisdom of that decision.
I never realized you had faith SATAN! I can see how you may be worried but remember YAO and Steve were all stars and that can't hurt our chances of landing a coach and perhaps free agents. I'm not gonna cry over how Les runs things. He could be worse.
We can't judge anything until we see what is done to improve the team. This move was probably for the best (I supported all season) but we won't be able to tell if the team will be better for it until next season ends.. We may get some positive signs but until the kids have played under a new coach for a whole year we won't know anything, and maybe not then...
well said! true rockets fans never lose hope to their team! no matter if they have the worst record in the league, true rockets fans will not give up on them, but will find ways to improve the rocs.
lol...actually.....I don't think there are many Nuggets fans right now. But Cleveland is getting A LOT of attention now... SELLING OUT LIKE ALL OF THEIR HOME GAMES ALREADY.
ehhh.....satan666.....i think youve got some bigger issues concerning losing your faith other than the rockets.....
