After more than 10 years of working on my own, I have now taken the plunge and am working for someone else. I took a job as Director of Business development for Image Metrics a technology company in California and the UK. I am going to be responsible for framing their foray into the gaming space. Basically they take video images of people and transmit all the facial movements over to a character or rig of choice. So you could be speaking on camera, and the character could be a dragon and it would have all your facial movements. We just did all the Benjamin Button stuff, and all the GTA IV stuff as well. I am excited about it, but it means I will be posting a lot less. So, that is something for everyone else to be excited about. Off to Cali I go for the rest of the week, but at least I get to stay in Austin and work from home. Wish me luck ! DD
Three years off, which could have been complete retirement if the economy didn't tank. So, back to work I go, but I still hold out hope for PeeZocker getting funded, will put that on the backburner for now though. Crap, I just realized I am over 50,000 posts......that is awesome and sad at the same time. DD
