Okay, let me start off by saying this is not bulls--t.

Yesterday after work, I coming from work in Sugar Land, heading north on Hgwy 6 South. This NICE 2001-2002 silver Mercedes CL600 was zooming in and out of traffic, going about 90 mph or so. I was like, "who in the hell is driving such a nice car like a freakin' maniac?". Anyway, the windows were up and darkly tinted, so I could not see very well inside and I could hear the music really blasting. This went on for several miles.

Well at the stop light at Hwy 6 and Bissonnett, the driver of the car let the windows down. I glanced over and had to do a double take. I have never met Mooch in person, so at first I wasn't sure. Anyhow, I took a chance and yelled out "MOOCH". He looked over and gave me the head nod...what's up. That's when I went for it. I said, "hey, are you going to sign with us or what?" He could not hear me through the loud music, so he was kind enough to turn it down and asked me what I said. So I repeated the question.

His response, much like another poster stated earlier this week, was "it will be done by week's end." I said "but tomorrow (Friday) is week's end. Come on really. Please tell me you are still going to be a Rocket" He said, "Well, it will be done for sure by the end of the month, definitely." My response was "great to hear, out of all the Rockets we lost this year, I would hate to lose you." Moochie smiled and said "thanks and you won't."

Traffic started moving, so I blurted out "you know if you would have hit me (he was on my bumper by inches, before I knew who he was), you would have owed me season tickets. Besides, don't get into an accident, get hurt and can't play for us!" He laughed and waved goodbye. But you know, he actually slowed down and started doing the speed limit. What a great guy.

Anyway, that was my first Moochie encounter. Now to answer some of the questions I know you all will ask.

    1) No one was in the car with him.
    2) No I did not get pictures.
    3) If anyone doubts my story, ask Clutch if he has seen Mooch's car. I bet anyone he will validate that he drives a Silver 4-dr Mercedes CL600. The surprising thing, is that his car was not all "kitted out" or customized. It pretty much was your regular Mercedes.
    4) His hear was braided straight back. No designs or 'fro.

If you all have questions that I might can answer, I will. Otherwise, this was pretty much about it. He a cool, nice guy for the minute to 90 seconds I spoke with him.

You may be right. All I know is that the car was pretty long. So I assumed that it was a 4-dr. I could be wrong. I was focusing more on the driver than the car.

Just because I may be mistaken, doesn't mean that what I am saying didn't happen. I am not looking for "fame" here, I am just being a good CC.Net'r and reporting the story.

I thought about that.....but thought better of it. I can tell it was a regular liscence plate. I think it had a K and H in the first three digits.

I can see why there are so few of these cars on the road. After you brought to my attention that CL are 2-dr, I went to the Mercedes website.....that car cost over $120,000!!!!!

You stalkers make us proud! :D

No wonder Mooch is trying to get a few more bucks out of this, to pay for his car! :) Lets get Mooch, lets get Marc, and then lets get to the playoffs!

Are you sure it was Mooch and not "Animal" from the muppet show?

Cuz I would have to think if it was Mooch, a hot white chick would have lifted her head up from his lap an introduced herself;)

If anyone wants to see the Rockets and any other basketball player who lives in houston, just hit the club scene. Phoenix, Maxxis, Simpers, and even Crystal and you'll see them there, thats where I always see them.

Very true. That is where I have seen Cuttino and Steve.
Until yesterday, I have never seen Moochie out.

Question - How much was Moochie's salary last year? Considering how much his car cost, he may have had to get an
advancement for Fe(a)gan to get it. That's probably why he wants to get every penny possible.

    NJRocket:

No, no girl. He was busy jammin' to the music and flying down the street. Besides, I drive a SUV, so I was sitting up higher than he and had a good view inside his car, once the windows were down. Sadly no beautiful women to report.

I think you're right. If it were "Lieutenant Dan" Ewing, there would have been multiple white women.:D
