Ok, i know you guys probaly wont take my word as worth as much as others because u havent known me that long but i see myself as an experienced manager in sim leagues. My idea on all this common draft and redraft crap is simple. SIMPLY RESET. No drafts, no nothin. Just start with the rosters how they are in the NBA right now. NORMAL DEAFAULT ROSTERS? ...... This is fair for many reasons to not only all the GMs in this league but also THECAT. I know Cat works hard on this whole sim thing and i dont think he deserves all his **** to be bashed . He does not need to do unnecessary work when we can just restart this stuff with original teams. CAT, GIVE ME YOUR OPInION!! Just starting over would be fine. A re-draft would be too much trouble. You could still make the whole thing fair without starting over. If you guys want to have a competitive sim then coming up with ways to lose your 7th and 8th best players isn't going to make the sim all that much fun. You could run the common draft like an expansion draft. Start out with every team protecting 1 player, and after they lose one then they protect 2 more. That way each team loses their 2nd and 5th best players. That will keep the league competitive. If you're a good GM then that shouldn't be a problem. It's only a problem if you're a sucky GM and you got lucky enough to rape one of those other teams before several more people joined. ------------------
that is the one option i am vehemently against. default rosters = boredom. unless it were something like a combo - pick a team and protect 2 or 3 players or so, then do like a 5 round draft or something of all the players in the NBA. If we just reset rosters, then I say we all get to re-select teams again since when I made my original choice, it was under the idea that this was a one season type of sim. I have no interest in trying to trade John Stockton AGAIN. My suggestion is that we give out teams according to current record IF we did this. crisco, whats boring about starting over??? The possibilities are the same as the ones u have right now with these teams...... i think its fun doing it from scratch. ESPECIALLY if all the rules are in place. ALSO BGM- i agree, i have no problem with choosing teams or getting stuck with the grizz because i beleive i have the talent to make them a championship team. Starting over isn't a problem to me. Resetting the rosters just seems boring as hell. I am with Crisco. I think we should keep things the way they are, or have the massive draft draft thing. If we have the 12 round draft, at least then each team would have some kind of individual identity, instead of being the same roster as what is in real life, which is boring.
