That report about Mo Taylor is bogus!! I saw him this past Friday at the Walgreens in Katy with his little brother. I talked to him for about five minutes about the up coming season and his rehab status and have you know that he is fully healed and in shape. About 250 to 260 ish. People should stop believing everything they read because he will in our starting line up next season getting ready to have a great year.
That is good news, although I doubt it will get the type of reponses in the opposing view as the original thread concerning his weight.
Thats nice to hear. I saw him from up close and gave him a high five at one of the last Rocket home games. Didnt seem overweight to me either.
Ofcourse, for the junior member, he hadn't seen Mo before. So maybe he grew, but he looks diffrent on TV?
That's great to hear! One thing, though, is that Clutch said the weight is in his ass. Did you size him up?
Here are the facts - At the end of the season, Mo was over 300lbs. Normally, Mo is around 245 in 'real' weight...not ESPN weight. Mo, at one point, HAD ADDED over 50-60lbs to his frame. I don't disagree that Mo WILL be in the starting lineup, he WILL contribute to the team, and he WILL bring all the intangibles that we missed from him last year and I for one can't wait for him to be back. However, he WAS over 300 and he is NOT 250 at this moment...period! End of discussion! Next thread....
Hey Doc, relax man. Maybe that is what Mo told the rookie. Have you seen Mo step on a scale? If so, then please accept my apoligies. As I said in the original thread about Mo's weight issue, I can believe that he put on some weight after going down with the injury. It's only natural because he would be would obviously be affected mobilty wise by the type of injury he had. Now the original reports of 70 extra pounds I find inflated, but I could see him being close to or maybe right at 300lbs at some point this past season. Mo is a pretty stalky guy and has never been really cut. Do I think he is 250-260 right now? No because that is right around his playing weight. I don't doubt he could be around 270-290ish right now.
One day Manny goes to the grocery, and he sees celebrity x or athlete y. So he runs home or runs to his car which has the mighty ol' laptop. He gets on, and runs to cc.net to post his sighting. Unfortunatly, Manny didn't pack his DV cam, or Digital Cam, his 8mm, his vhs, his betamax, his wecam, his pinhole camera. So, he reports it,yet no pictures, but it's Manny Ramirez for crying out loud. Sure, he's been registered here forever. He automatially gets credibility with no pictures. It's just one of those you either believe it or don't I don't think sjackson is telling the truth or he's just making it up, but there is no need to mock him or disrespect him like that, regardless if he made ass clown statements.
I know who posted the 70lb remark and it's NOT bogus as this person says...ok maybe 60! If you say that the posting is bogus, essentially calling this person a liar, the burden of proof falls on you to disprove it. I've seen the pictures that Clutch can't post because of his source. They do justice to the fact that he was over 300lbs...I promise. It's kinda like me seeing Barry Bonds at the store and saying 'He wasn't an ******* at all!" He may not have been at the time but it's a fact that he has been!
Can I ask one thing? Doc Rocket, why are you going through the trouble of all these examples, and replies rather than just saying "He was overweight, and he's lost it" as you're implying. Unless that's NOT what you're implying?
It's nothing like that example. You can be an ******* one day and the next day you're as nice as could be. If you're 300 lbs. one day, you're probably going to be close to 300 lbs. the next day. If you see someone at the store, you can see that they're fat or not. You probably won't be able to tell that they're an ******* until they open their mouth or do something. Fat is a physical characteristic. Being an ******* is a personality trait.
Hey, Doc, don't take it personally. Someone just says he saw the guy and to his eye Mo doesn't look that overweight so he doesn't believe the source. Nor does he know the name of the source. No big deal. We'll all know soon enough anyway.
Umm...Kam...you don't have a clue of what you are talking about dude. When I first registered here in August, the big thread was rockHEAD's one about seeing Olajuwon at this grocery store and he posted pics about it. That thread and Drewdog's one about seeing Francis, Mobley, and Willis (he posted pics) have pretty much set the standard around here that no one is going to believe you unless you post the pics. Living in TN, I doubt very seriously that I would ever see anyone famous, so your hypothetical example about me doesn't mean ****; however, if I did see someone famous, I would try to get pics and post them here rest assured. I definitely wouldn't post here that I saw "Robert DeNiro" or "Howard Stern" if I didn't have the pics because I know what the responses would be like. Besides, it's obvious that this thread has touched a nerve with Doc Rocket & that can't be a good thing.
